Do you want a smartphone or a more standard handset? Is there a particular reason you have to stick with a standard size sim, as they can easily be cut down.

If you ring 3 will they not just send you the correct size sim and move your number across to it? SIM size shouldn't need to be a limit to the phone.

Asw already advised above, the size of your existing sim doesn't matter. If you get a replacement sim from 3 (which allows you to press out the cardboard mount to the size you require) you just need to ensure your existing contacts are saved via your Google account. When the new sim is inserted and your have your number transferred across (which is done via 3) you then download your contacts from your Google account onto your new phone.

It would help if you said what size of phone you are looking for. The Moto G (4th generation) is just about in your budget (it was £160 at John Lewis a couple of weeks ago) but has a 5.5 inch screen which may be a bit large.

    Hope this helps
