Hi
Has anyone any advice on stoves? I am possibly looking at a Rayburn solid fuel and wood fired cooker and a normal wood burning stove. i know it will depend on what type/size of stove i get but has anyone any feedback on fuel consumption etc of either? i am wondering if the Rayburn is worth the money?
Thanks in advance for any help

They are quite expensive approx £5,000, but you can get them to do your heating hot water as well.
We put in an older one that hadn't been used, but was badly advised & it wouldn't do the heating, didn't have the capacity of boiler. I got a Lincar and that is great for water/heating & cooking, but too warm to have on just now, so I have a calor gas cooker as well.
If you know someone with a Rayburn ask them as it is a big investment.0 -
As you are posting on a Money Saving Website, I doubt if anyone would argue a Rayburn 'is worth the money'.
There have been many posts over the years and iirc although some people love their Rayburn, I don't think any have claimed economy was on the list of merits.
They are a 'lifestyle choice'.0
