I've seen you do it several times today, and get pulled up on it.Err, how about no. You can at least tell me what I'm accused of lieing about first.
Please provide the evidence for the above claim.
I've tried suggesting a seperation of ways. It's lying by the way.
Your odious obsession is pathetic.0 -
It's lying by the way.
Thanks for the spelling correction. Obviously I'm not as smart as you...Please provide the evidence for the above claim.
Nearly every post you make is a "witty" or patronising snipe at someone or something. Here's a few snippets, but no doubt you'll say you're just being a lovely bloke:Oh rubbish. The pity party is over. It's done. Get over it.You're a sad individual
(in reference to somebody's wife's company).the management of said mortgage company is clearly poor.
It's clearly not just me who thinks this:Bluebirdman_of_Alcathays wrote: »Why be so cutting to a newbie? It specifically says to be nice.bigfreddiel wrote: »Yes you are an idiot, you said it, not me!ArabellaLondon wrote: »This isn't friendly at all.
I'm sure I could find plenty more if I could be bothered to trawl your posts. There's a social norm that (almost) everyone understands, that means it's not acceptable to reply with a patronising snipe at every opportunity. I don't imagine you do it in real life. If you do then you must have a unique circle of friends...0 -
You are both idiots for having pointless arguments on the internet0

OP - I think the way your thread has disintergrated shows you some of the level of advice you may receive on here. There are some good advisors on here, although they seem more helpful to the lower end of the market.
Anyway back to your question - nobody knows for sure. I mean how would they ? Brexit is unprecedented so much advice could only be speculation. Also there is a lot of anger around over it, and that will taint peoples advice too.Stuck on the carousel in Disneyland's Fantasyland

Central London will be the first hit, you are in a strong position (with extra bargaining power due to cash), as prices are guaranteed to fall (though by how much no one knows) its a good idea to ride it out and see what happens.0

This isn't friendly at all.
I know exactly what you mean. Too many people with nothing useful to say decide to say something completely useless like "go somewhere else and ask" or "I know but because I feel like it, I won't tell you". Pathetic behaviour.0 -
You would be lucky to find anything around Central Park for less than $1.4 million. But for the question at hand, I would think Uncle Sam's cut would be more of a worry than Brexit.ArabellaLondon wrote: »Hi Everyone,
I am from NYC and moved here not too long ago, I work in finance...in Feb I made a thread excited to begin my hunt here but alot has since changed!
I am a first time buyer in London and a cash buyer at the time my budget was about 700k-900k for a 1-2 bedroom flat in Central London. I since raised that to 1million when as I decided I 100% wanted a 2 bedroom I realised the houses here were a little pricier than in NYC where I lived...
Now BREXIT has happened and I'm stuck and need advice whether to continue my search and how to go about this. I was looking forward to making London my home and this apartment and have seen some lovely places, as I'm a cash buyer negative equity etc isn't an issue but would spending 1 million on a 2 bedroom flat in Central London be an awful decision right now ? or should I just go ahead ?
Other questions..
1. Should I continue my offers at pre-brexit prices if I go ahead?
2. Is there any advantage of being a cash buyer in this time?
3. If I wait it out how long do you recommend.
Really need some opinions on this....
My fear is I invest in a house today in cash and in two years it's not worth as much!
Best,

Hi
I have reported the unfriendly messages posted in here, this was very low however I do know it is a reflection of the posters not the forum as in feb I made a thread on here where I got much help.
Martin Lewis is hailed as a popular UK finance guru and this forum has questions about people hoping to buy homes, there is no bracket on the house value, the fact the house is in the million pound mark should not create the abuse on here.
Have I asked people I know ?! YES! and i have gotten different responses and was confused hence I came here, I am all over genuinely horrified by the responses in here and I hope the moderators do something about this.
When I moved here it was this forum and website which I learned so many things from...the best credit card deals, best companies for literally everything and I am horrified and disgusted by way in which you people are fighting to the detriment of the people on here.2016 GoalsBuy First Time Flat

Hi economic,
Same. I think people hear finance and think we are these walking robots with no emotions nor lives or any need to consult people for advice. Yes, I work in finance but I am still new in this country and scared and just wanted advice...2016 GoalsBuy First Time Flat
