Halifax Clarity Card on holiday

Ok so the £ has the jitters at the moment and I will have to take my chances deciding when to buy a small amount of $ for my holiday in July but I'm looking a bit of information about using my HCC.
The newspaper has had scare stories about people having trouble spending on holiday since we voted out of the EU. I take it as long as I ensure that I leave the exchange rate in Halifax's hands I should have no problem using the card.

What was the newspaper's reasoning for this? URL?
Mastercard are still publishing their conversion rates for GBP (which the Clarity uses).

There might have been some very short term problems changing cash yesterday as the pound plummetted, but other than getting a far worse exchange rate because of Brexit, I can't see any reason for problems.
I was abroad during the ERM problems when the pound plummetted a similar amount - there were problems changing cash for a couple of days but no problem using cards.0 -
I've had no problem using my cards post-Brexit, both the Clarity and the Creation card. Ignore the scaremongering.0

I did see some reports that there were a few instances where over-the-counter transactions were being refused in some places. Australia was one.
Nothing about ATMs though.0 -
Its a Mastercard. You're using it to pay or withdraw in local currency.
Unless Halifax goes bust, Brexit should have no effect on its use0 -
