Rangemaster change colour of oven doors

Hi
Currently have a rangemaster classic cooker which is cream in colour, however won't match with the new kitchen we are looking at, so have decided to change outer colour from cream to black.
Rangemaster sell outer door panels, however since our rangemaster is an older model they no longer stock parts.
Have heard you can get doors powder coated, so contacted a company who say that wont last due to heat on the doors, therefore other option I guess is painting? But guessing it is enamel?
Anyone done this successfully?

I often wonder why firms change a good and popular design.Just to lower production costs perhaps without thinking what the customer prefers. Now on our fourth Rangemaster Classic, having sold previous with property, my wife has always asked for the fully enameled pot stands. We managed to get some on our latest cooker by exchanging with a cooker on display. The new stands are either "Shiny" or rough cast. I wonder if the manufacturer has ever tried cleaning the rough cast ones? The latest range has now been altered so that the pot stands come right over the front of the cooker, never mind cleaning them, just try lifting them and replacing without doing any damage. If we sell this property, probable,we will be looking at other makes. Very disappointing.0
