Declined by Santander

I am so upset.......
We have been declined a mortgage by Santander and don't know how to find out why?
We have checked both our credit reports on noodle, experian and clear score! We both have excellent credit ratings....?????
The mortgage broker says they said declined and that it was because of something no lender would lend on???
Does anyone have any idea what this might be?????
I feel like the floor has just gone from below me......

The mortgage broker says that Santander won't tell him due to data protection? The only indication they gave was that it was something no one will lend against.... I am worried sick0

Might have something to do with your previous post. https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/70263583#Comment_702635830

The charging order was taken off and I checked several time before I applied to re mortgage?
Do you know if this would still effect me even though I had been removed?
If it does still effect me surly that means I can never get another mortgage?
Thanks0 -

Santander are not the best when it comes to adverse credit history, however historical. It could have been both the DMP and CCJ that caused the decline, unless you have a CIFAS (fraud) alert on your credit file, or you have a criminal record. They are also NOT the best at talking to brokers and helping resolve issues like this. Hiding behind data protection is a bit ridiculous considering you have given your broker permission to act on your behalf and (hopefully) disclosed everything to him/her.I am a Mortgage Adviser
