    Thank for the information it is very interesting....
    I understand what you are saying about the CCJ and the DMP but they were over 6 years ago so not sure they can be used.
    Also when Santander declined they specifically said it was not because of the CCJ????? So strange ...

    Lenders will have a range of criteria that you must pass. A little more complex than a straight tick box exercise. There's no right to mortgage. Lending is undertaken on a commercial basis and an overall appetite to lend to given to a given market segment. So possible that you haven't been singled out as such just not met the hurdles set along with a number of other people.

    Excellent news... My mortgage advisor rang and I am to receive a full apology tomorrow of Santander!!! There was an error in their IT system and it should not have been declined.........

    Morning, Not really sure what the poster above means but ha ho.....


    Anyway the Mortgage has now been approved in principal, however on my Experian report under the title "searches in the last 6 months" I still have a negative impact recorded from Santander.


    Does anyone know how this will impact me?
