Had a stomach problem and had to go in an ambulance to the hospital, spent 5 days and returned to my dwelling with a huge bill to greet me.
My EHIC card was presented on arrival
Can someone please help.
What should I do with this chilling bill
I tried calling the number on the back of the card for info, but it goes through to HMS Customs and they say they cannot help me.and give me the same number and I am going around in circles, which is NOT helping my recovery too much
I read one is liable for half the cost of the ambulance, how much for the hospital? and do I have to cough up the whole amount first? then how do I claim
Anyone's help will be much appreciated,as I cannot just let this bill sit idle

No it doesn't, it tells you that you should claim in Switzerland, not through the UK and then it gives you links to this leaflet telling you how to do so.
