Carers Allowance and going back to work

Good afternoon

I've got a job - and start next week. I currently receive carers allowance and though I will continue to be a carer, I will earn too much to be entitled to CA.

I've heard that as I will not be paid from my new job until the end of July, I may be entitled to receive CA until that date.

Does anyone have knowledge or experience of this?

Thanks!

It is probably worthwhile (in addition to phoning in your change of circumstance), to write to the DWP informing them. Keep a copy & get proof of posting. Then you will have proof that you notified them (in case of any overpayments disputes).

sorry youve probably already been told by CA, but yes you can. If dont get paid until July, could possibly get paid CA up to end of Aug
