I'm guessing sales have been suspended due to the volatile movements in the currency market.

It's for the best anyway, rates are poor. Wait a few days and hope they recover a bit...

I have Thomas Cook instore guaranteed rate till close of day today. How legally binding (On them) is this if the rates change suddenly?

I managed to buy euros at 1.2716 around 7:15 this morning from Sainsburys, the site went offline shortly after.

I got 1.270 £/euro @ Thomas Cook this morning before site went down.

I guessed there was a delay on their rates, so I told my brother, and he got £/USD @ 1.4415.

Both these are guaranteed till end of today, BUT, he just got a call to say they didn't have enough dollars in, he'd have to wait till Monday (& loose the guarantee) or accept a cash passport card (or whatever they're called.) They did tell him the card was exactly the same rate as booked without any fees either way, but I just googled, and there may be a fee when you cashout to close the card down.

Thomas Cook gave me 1.2708 at 7am this morning. I'll pick up a 'cash passport' today.

I did look at reloading our Travelex cash passport but the rate was 1.10!!!

Cash Passport? Is it a joke? You would have been better off with Revolut. Faster, better rate and no silly 2€ ATM withdrawal charge.
