KLM refused to Deliver Suitcase

We had 3 flights to catch home, and our suitcase only made the 1st one. Unfortunately my house keys were in the suitcase! Arrived back and had to book a hotel for that night. Suitcase landed at 4.00pm following day and KLM refused to deliver it until the next day, to ensure they maintained their service levels with their courier company. As a result I had to drive the 2 hour round trip to pick it up, but I had to fill my car with fuel and filled my diesel car with petrol. Had to get my tank drained, and refill with diesel. the 2 hour round trip took 7 hours in total and the non delivery of my suitcase ultimately cost me £385.26 (Hotel, wasted tank of petrol, Tank drain & Diesel refill). KLM are refusing to pay - is there any angle I can quote to insist that they do?

Section 10.2.1 of KLMs conditions of carriage
(f) Passengers are advised not to put in their Baggage currency, jewellery, works of art, precious metals, silverware, securities, or other valuables, optical or photographic equipment, computers, electronic and/ or telecommunication equipment or devices, musical instruments, passports and identity documents, keys, business documents, manuscripts or deeds, whether individualized or fungible etc. In this respect, it is specified that in the event of destruction, loss or damage of Checked Baggage, the Carrier will only be liable to the extent defined by the Convention and Article 19 of these General Conditions of Carriage.
KLM owe you nothing, and for delayed baggage they will only cover reimbursement of essential items on the outbound flight and not the return home0
