FlightStat accuracy?

Hi
I'm trying to claim compensation. I had two flights, into and out of an european airport. The first flight was delayed by over 2 hours and that caused me to miss my connection. FlightStat confirms this.

The airline is saying that that the delay was only short and i could have made my connecting flight. it was a while ago but I think i would remember deciding not to get one flight in favour of an additional four hours waiting at the airport.

Any suggestions ?
I think they've made a mistake but how can i prove it other than flightstat which the airline wont accept..

No airline stats site will be accepted either by the airline concerned or a UK court - airlines have their own recording systems (generally they use ACARS) which are not available to the public. http://www.libhomeradar.org/ - may (like Flightstats) provide confirmation but it, also, carries no jurisdiction.
