    For the moment I have just left mine there because I haven't looked in to how to use msn website with Mozilla yet. Not answering your question I know. Use Mozilla (or whatever else you choose) to get to security websites.

    The short answer to the possibility of removing Internet Explorer completely is 'no' in the more recent versions of windows

    However I found the following article to be pretty comprehensive (I am not linked to them in any way):

    It basically guides you through the steps of making IE the 'last choice' browser on your system, while leaving the functionality that Windows depends on intact.
