Lockable wardrobe - with drawers/shelves?

Hi. Posting this here on the off chance.

I'm looking to find a wardrobe that has key locks on the doors. Already trawled through many internet pages after an initial search (doesn't seem to add the part about the lock/lockable and other keywords) without much luck.

Also needs to have some shelves inside. A drawer would also be a good feature - though not 100% necessary if there are a good amount of shelves inside. 2-3 door - prefer a tall one over width if possible (just to save space) as have got a ceiling around half a metre above normal door height.

Anyway, hopefully I'll have some luck here. ;)

Out of stock at the moment, but might give you some clues as to the make to look out for

Phone charity shops & ask if they have branches with furniture, or furniture days - quite a lot of the more elderly wardrobes had locks, and have a few shelves for pyjamas etc.

Plus they're often big & awkward to stock so sell for pennies relative to new furniture, as well as being properly built of nice wood that repays a bit of TLC (I'm leaping to the idea that sanding & oiling or revarnishing are reasonable, given the amount you'll save). Replacement locks are not hard to come by if there aren't keys, but if you unscrew the lock & take it to a locksmith they can usually find a 'stray' key that fits & sort you copies.
    Best of luck!

Just buy the wardrobe you want and get a handyman / carpenter to fit a lock. Very straightforward.

Yeah, the one I'm replacing is actually from the 1980's.

This actually looks like more or less what I'm looking for. If only I could find ones that are actually in stock/exist.

phill99 has already told you the best way to get this sorted.

Just buy a wardrobe and get a joiner to put a lock in it for you.

Will be a lot cheaper than buying something bespoke.
If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands

just google lockable filing cupboard/ office furniture.

The reason I send you the link from that used one is that I got one exactly the same in the office. They are solid.

Seems like a more expensive way to do it, paying extra for a joiner.
    Also, Time is an issue.

And also the last joiner said "the door was too thin to put a lock on".
