So, I received a letter today which doesn't give much information at all. It does however state any funds in the accounts will be sent to me via cheque.
"We often review accounts to ensure that we can continue to support our customers with their banking needs and following a recent review of your account, we are writing to let you know that unfortunately, we're unable to maintain a banking relationship with you."
It states that it will be closed on the 20th etc, which is a bit late to say the least!
I'm heading into town tomorrow, so I guess ill ask in the branch.0 -

When is the letter dated? Does it apply to all accounts you hold (you said one is still open)? Who is the letter from (sounds like one from Account Closure Unit)? Normally when they send this letter they give 2 months notice to close all your accounts. Any chance you can scan the letter up?0 -

They won't know as they are not in the loop - if there is a contact number on the letter phone them.
Only you know if anything dodgy has gone through your accounts - if you want to pursue it complain and get the ombudsman's view on it.0
