Europcar premium insurance - does it cover me for car park scrape

Hi MSEr's
I've got a Europcar rental car in France.
I went for the Premium Protection Insurance which I think means I don't need to pay an excess. However, i have no idea how this works.
I have just scraped the car against a rock whilst navigating the car park and caused some damage to the driver side sill. Not extensive damage. As soon as i felt something I reversed the car back off it. However, it is definitely noticeable.
Has anybody experienced using Europcar premium protection insurance?
I don't know if my prang will be counted as "Negligence" or a "collision" as per the policy.
The former is not covered by the policy, the latter is.
The rock was low lying (not very obvious you couldnt see it from the car) in the car park of the guest house I am staying. This is my first "crash" in 11 years of driving.
Any advice appreciated! I can't find the detailed policy for the insurance anywhere!
Many thanks.

I'm not sure about this aspect, never heard of such a distinction, but if you bought the Premium Protection Insurance at the desk as an extra to reduce the excess to zero, it's likely that they won't even check the car when you return it. Just keep quiet and see how it goes, let us know...Pumpkin101 wrote: »I don't know if my prang will be counted as "Negligence" or a "collision" as per the policy.
