Car Insurance Address Verification?

If the worse does come and they ask me to provide some specific document that I do not have then what are my rights as a car insurance customer?
What are the rights and obligations of car insurance companies after taking into consideration and circumstances of a customer that doesn't have a specific document to provide?
Who I do I go to complain if my policy gets cancelled or my premiums that are paid stolen and not refunded?
Who are the independent regulating body that monitors car insurance providers?
Who do I go to if Octagon decide to tarnish me or blacklist me on the car insurance database in retaliation from all of the above?
Oh !!!!!! just give them what they're asking for and worry about it afterwards (unless you've something to hide in which case your other questions are valid)0 -

I didn't say I wont give them anything. I said I can give on what I have. If they want something specific that I don't have then how I am liable and how it is my problem at the end?
You happen to work for Octagon may I ask?0 -
You have a driving licence and a V5. What are you worrying about?
I'm worrying because after reading those horror stories of customer reviews of Octagon which makes it more likely that I might be a statistic of that and you see me returning to this thread in the future if the worse case scenario comes.
Apart from that lets hope Octagon don't play me around. If they do I isn't going down without a fight. I am not a kind of person that will submit to insurance companies fraudulent policies.0 -
So what you saying is that for a motorist to drive legally in the UK then he/she must be on the Electoral Roll 1st ...
From https://www.gov.uk/electoral-register/overview
You must register to vote if you’re asked to do so and you meet the conditions for registering, eg you’re 16 or over and you’re British or a national of an EU or Commonwealth country.
If you’re asked to register and don’t do so, your local Electoral Registration Office could fine you £80.
You won’t be fined if you have a valid reason for not registering, eg a long stay in hospital, or you have severe learning difficulties.0 -

It says there you can register at 2 addresses. Never knew that. Cheers,0 -

How will you know until you provide us with what we've asked for ?You happen to work for Octagon may I ask?
!!!!!! - I've been found out - I'm the CEO if you want to write to me and complain
p.s. please treat my 'ironic' answer in the same way as your stupid questions. Just do what everyone else does and provide them with the proof they're looking for - if you don't have it or you're hiding something then find another insurer0 -

Can you please provide us proof to show whether you really are a CEO of Octagon or not, acceptable proofs are :
- Bank statements
- Passports
- Company Balance Statements
- Recent Blood test results
- DNA Profile
- Driving Licenses
- PIN Numbers
- Birth Certificate
- Bills
- Deeds to the private offshore Islands you own along with nice big villas with pools, logbooks to the Ferraris, Lambos and Bugatti's as well as that £5000000 Yacht.
- Autobiography (basically everything)
Missing one of the above will invalidate your credibility on these forums resulting in a Troll status lol :rotfl:
Just joking, seriously if you want to help this thread then help otherwise thank you for your input.0 -

The point is that there is no further help that can be offered to you, it's a decision for you to make whether you conform to Octagon's requirements or take your business elsewhere.0 -
You can't really insure a car where you don't live. The insurance company are struggling to pick you up at this address, or it's a simple audit they carry out on a randomly selected number of policies to make sure they're set up correctly. If you can provide a bank statement in your name and address you will be fine. They may also ask for proof of I.d such as a passport or driving licence. You would only have to worry if you were living some where 'under the radar' so to speak.0
