Thank you, the bell looks interesting (and probably expensive!) - what is the make? Our house certainly isn't a quarter of a mile long so it looks hopeful!0

We've had many different kinds of wireless door bells, they either stopped working or went off when no-one was there. We were told that the remote keys for cars set them off, and living on a main road it was happening often.
We bought a Kosee wireless bell with 2 plug in receivers and it's brilliant. It has various sound levels, different ring tones but best of all it has never gone off on it's own in 18 months. Highly pleased with it and it has saved money as there's been no need to replace it.0 -

It was sold as the Byron brand, about £80 from memory and you also need the mains transformer, low-voltage twin wire and the bell-push, so not inexpensive. That was about 5 years ago and sadly it looks like they may have been discontinued; sorry for the bum steer0 -
The bell will be SELV not mains!0

I've never experienced my doorbell ringing when there is nobody there - certainly not in the middle of the night.0
