Amsterdam advice

Anyone recommend a hotel within walking distance of all Amsterdam attractions, I think Dam Square seems to be the place to be.
This will be for 2 adults, 4 nights price range around £100.00pn during August 2016
Preference 4* although I notice Amsterdam hotel prices are expensive, wondering if we'll get something in our price range.
Rather not spend time using tram / train to get into / out of "the centre"

I'm hopeless with technology, in addition, I suffer with MH issues, what may appear simple, I struggle with, may I ask, please be patient, thank you

I don't think you will find 4* central for that price.

I stayed at Hotel Rho a few months ago - very nice 3 star about £100 per night but no tea/coffee facilities in room.0

Aah, tea and coffee making facilities, the basis of any good British hotel review.0 -
There's a Novotel pretty well central.0

Call the Brouwer Hotel and try to get a room - +31 624 63 58
Lonely Planet review
A bargain-priced (for Amsterdam) favourite, Brouwer has just eight rooms in a house dating back to 1652. Each chamber is named for a Dutch painter and furnished with simplicity, but all have canal views. There's a mix of Delft-blue tiles and early-20th-century decor, plus a tiny lift. Staff dispense friendly advice. Reserve well in advance. Rates include a hearty breakfast. Cash only.Evolution, not revolution0
