Offered a different amount of compensation

Hi,

Please be gentle, I am a newbie to this forum. I have searched the forum, but I couldn't find anything similar.

I have followed all relevant advise to make a claim for compensation against Small Planet, for a delayed flight last summer. Compensation due should be €400 per person.

I have received a reply from them (which seems to be an quite achievement) where they are offering me half the amount, as a gesture of goodwill.

I am now wondering what others would do here, is it worth pushing for the full amount? Or should I just take their offer?

Has anyone else had an offer like this, and what was the outcome?

If your flight is due EU261 then that is the amount due
check bottonline and EUClaim...if they both say €400 then why accept something different?
If there is some question of whether it is due or not (e.g. NWNF say no or do not agree) maybe accepting would be less painful than fighting

Also if you click on 'Forum Search' then 'show post' at the top of the page and type in 'Small Planet' you will find just a few other posts where the claimant has been successful.

They are a bit spread out in many different threads but there is now some evidence that they will pay up eventually if you go about it the right way.
