Thanks for starting PF
Hope you have a good day today LegoMum
We had a chilled day yesterday pottering about. Went to the cinema with our unlimited cards and going again today with friends
LSDs both days - got some bits from Mr S yesterday to see us through the week
Hoovering done. Will do bathroom before we go out later
Ironing and a load of washing to do
I'm in the process of soaking the various batches of jars for table decorations to get the labels off then giving them a scrub - which reminds me I ordered some balloons and name cards for the place settings yesterday (from the wedding pot). The name cards are just plain ones I'll write myself so super cheap! I got them from the same place we got our invitations from and I've had lovely comments about those (think they were £3.99 for packs of 10). I can't understand why people would pay £100+ for printed ones!
Poochy went to stay with the ex last night and will be back this evening
Try and do something on my coursework portfolio - I've neglected it this weekend

It was brilliant for a free entry event. OH took some lovely shots and I was really good and did not go into any of the three local Yacht Clubs afterwards. The old me would've been in there buying Cristal and Krug. But I was strong, just a flask of coffee for us. :rotfl:Did bump into old acquaintances but stayed away after a casual greeting as they would be looking for drinks on me. I'll put a couple of shots on the Facebook page in a while.

Ally how are you and your OH now?
My MIL has been diagnosed with kidney stones. She went in Thursday and has been in a lot of pain. But they are allowing her home today then she has to attend clinic next week. Apparently they break them up with lasers??
Well, it could be worse at Dowd Towers. DW just has a cough left and I'm nearly better but I look and sound awful. Going to have to fake health and beauty when I start back at work tomorrow as the Guvnor.
I understand that they do break up kidney stones with a laser. I've heard that it is a shade unpleasant but not as bad as not having them treated in the long run. Good luck with that one.

Hi June Jubilatants,
Afternoon all. I've just got up! Last day of rest before going back after my fortnight off and still battling this cold. But it's not too late to make a start so I shall do that.
Debt Free-Nillionaire Continuity Plan Year Two:
* Cancelled our plans to spend £14 of rail vouchers today. It's raining hard out there. We can use them next weekend. So absolutely no spend today.
* Checked online banking.
* Checked all loyalty points.
* Put beloved indoor fuschia outside in the rain for a bit. She is battling white fly again.
* Do RM Surveys.
* Quite clean upstairs with Stardrops and washable cloths.
* Recover images from a scratched CD-Rom of photos using free Ubuntu software called Safecopy. Cue much swearing.
How about you folks?

Evening all
Ugh, it is raining again, I am shattered as I didn't sleep very well, and pup is asking for walk - but he hates the rain, and I just know I will end up carrying him! Will have to brave the elements in a minute no doubt
Not much done today:
HM meals, including late lunch / early dinner for Fathers Day. DD's idea, and she did provide the meat and a pudding. Now got the washing up of doom
Went to a car boot sale this morning, spent very little :A
My spiralizer has arrived :j Paid for from Amazon vouchers earned from surveys - I am dying to try it out
Watered some of the garden pots, and the chilli plants in the conservatory
Better get sorted and take this mutt out - hope you all have a nice eveningAnd good luck Ally with the job tomorrow. I've had that horrible cold and cough as well, and it seems to take ages to go!

) ally how was the boating? Bob how annoying about estate agents holiday. Boo!!!!!
We're planning a quiet day as it's the only weekend day in June were not doing anything and next weekend is really busy. However, as ever still a few jobs to do:
Got DH Father's Day present on group0n ages ago
Pop to supermarket for a handful of fresh things. Will go with list.
Quick vac - didn't manage that yesterday
Fleabay(must try harder)
Dry some washing outside
Find home for some gifts that I had for my birthday that haven't yet found a home.
Run for for exercise
Will check back later - enjoy the sunshine (if you're lucky enough to have it)
Well managed some, it's a start. Didn't do run, will defer until tomorrow. Stuck to shopping list - did roastalso put cooked cake in new bread maker (b'day gift). It was recipe in book and involved something from use up box. All good and tasted lovely must need to refrain from eating loads of it
may freeze to avoid temptation.
Sorted a load of the girls colouring books out and sent some to recycling. Managed to rid another box from DD room
Ordered another voucher from surveys. Will go in house fund.
Managed to dry all but 3 items outside, which included both DD winter coats so am pleased.
Successful weekend all round, even managed to get ahead for tomorrow. Right off to check some diaries.
Legomum I think we can all be too hard on ourselves at times and in the current times where life is a 100miles an hour all the time, any side swipe can have a huge effect on your mindset. One of the main reasons I wasn't posting was I was just so terribly sad, I found it hard to see the positive in anything, let alone trying to get a list to motivate me. Make sure you take care of yourself.
Ally photos are lovely, loving the action shots. T'other mrs dowd done good

Hi guys
thanks for starting the thread PF :A
legomum sorry to hear you're a little flat at the moment. When my ds broke his leg it was hard after the cast came off as he did think he was going to be back to his active self once it was off, but he wasn't able to do half of the physical activities. I'm sure once you start back at the gym you'll have those endorphins flowing again x
ally good luck with work tomorrow! How nice to get a cheeky payrise after a holiday to refill the coffers :T
Had a truly lovely weekend. Was down the allotment for a couple of hours yesterday and today oh came with me for an hour today. So starting to look like, well a big mess! But you gotta break a few eggs to make an omelette haven't you?! :rotfl: loads done though, very pleased with the progress. Have salvaged the strawberry bed, will dig over by hand the raspberry bed, plum tree full of fruit, apple tree with fruit and yesterday discovered a gooseberry bushthere's also a sloe tree/bush in the communal pathway between mine and the next plot so hoping I can get some of them.
Today we were invited out to dinner with oh's parentals which they treated us too. Was lovely! Massive roast beef for £5!
Yesterday we went to a free party on the beach. My bff came for a few hours then took her lo and dgd back and oh & I had a couple of hours out. Then this morning she had made a lovely cooked breakfast :A
Also over the weekend I have:
* went gc shopping. Spent just under £30 but thought as it was father's day today I would treat oh to roast leg of lamb - while pricey it will do a few day's meals. Also got some mince & spinach on offer which again will do another 4 meals. so gc for the last 3 weeks has been £110 but I have enough main meals for 14 days
* harvested the first 2 courgettes :j, planted out some mange tout, repotted a basil plant that is just growing like crazy! Aubergines are starting to form flowers :j and my runner beans are now flowering. So exciting :j
* borrowed a strimmer & a rake rather than bought one :money: will have to get a rake but will just keep my eye out at the bootfairs. Strimmer would have cost £45 to hire for a day
* made dgd's lunch & bag for tomorrow.
* Planned out what I need to do tomorrow so I can go to the allotment for a few hours. Trying to be efficient with what needs to be done, rather than neglecting everything other than my hobby!
* still sticking to my not buying challenge. Honestly the only way for me not to spend money is not to go near shops. Invariably if I go into a shop I end up spending much more than I want to!
Have just announced to oh that I am saving wine bottles now (planning to give making wine a bash) and his response was "of course you are" :rotfl: he is a lot less enthusiastic about all of the ways I try to save, recycle & just be a bit more conscious of living sustainably!
Anyway think that's all. Hope everyone has had a lovely weekend xDF as at 30/12/16
