So my mother in law rang today to cancel. Did not get any offers to stay. Told that their is no longer an outbound team so I will not be getting a call.
The lady also completely slated all the competition and made up facts that hadnt even been given. Awful service.
So now a waiting game to see if she was telling the truth or not. Ideally dont want to go elsewhere but time will tell.0 -

She was talking utter rubbish - yes there is an outbound team (loyalty/retentions) as you see from comments on here and other forums.0 -
I'm out of contract since 3 Apr 2018. My £55 package comprises:
TV Mix, 100MB Broadband and Talk More Anytime phone.
Any ideas as to what I'd be able to get when I call?0 -
Well well - a degree of success. After my cancellation was booked earlier in the week I had a call from VM earlier today. After expiry, my current package would have risen to £37pm plus line rental - which equates to about £17pm as I pay in one lump.
They offered me the same package as I have now (Fun TV, 100Mb broadband and phone) for £40pm including line rental. That saves me around £170pa. I'm OK with that.

If I give my 30 days notice today and, if they don't call back within, say 3 weeks, will VM allow me to cancel the cancellation?0

I see a few have jumped on to the 350mb package, which is a new package from virgin. Question is anyone getting those speeds consistently? Before I was on 100mb package and struggled to get the speeds, so downgraded back down to 50mb via retention deal of course and now get consistent speeds .0

Yes I had to call them to cancel the cancellation 5 hours before it was due to end as o had no callback, I suspect it was due to high downloads as mentioned to me when I cancelled.0
