Bob Our friend, who ran our original venue, told us last Saturday that he had closed and was waiting for some insurance money to re-brand and re-open, either as a wine bar or a deli! He couldn't tell us what, or when, or even what it was going to be called. We decided to book somewhere else for our reception and luckily found somewhere else which actually looks a lot better plus is £700 cheaper! Our friend has said he'll give us our £500 deposit back but can't tell us when...

Oh how tricky for you. Sounds like he was having financial difficulties then. I hope he pays you back very soon.
