Apologies most likely the wrong board but can't think where to ask!
Anyone been to any of the recent Rod Stewart concerts? If so does he have a support act? When roughly did he come on?
We are going to see him tonight but it's in Kilmarnock a small town with little to do. We had booked in for lunch and we're just going to put of time but its dreich and could make for a very long day
We are travelling through from the Edinburgh area and now thinking of going a bit later!

I was supposed to go on Tuesday but couldn't.. having been to previous concerts he sticks pretty much to schedule coming on at around 8pm.
Doors opened here at 4:30, support acts from 5:30 so you could go support them too they are reportedly very good.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Thank you for the reply. I couldn't find anything about support acts despite searching. I think we will give lunch in the west a miss and travel through a wee bit later, but in time for the support. We need to find somewhere to park to.
Thanks again0 -

My in-laws went to the one on Tuesday pigpen.
They enjoyed it. Sorry can't really answer the OP. Just found it interesting that you could have been at the same concert

I know quite a lot of people who went on Tuesday. I'm pretty sure I've heard that the support act is Rod's daughter and her band, I've been told they're not up to much but guess that's all down to personal preference!0

I think parking will be an issue, so a slow drive through after lunch here is now the plan.0

I didn't know that, I've been on holiday.and it is SIR Roderick now lol
That's lovely (although he did have a whinge a few years ago that he'd been missed out but Tom Jones & Mick Jagger had been knighted).
Apparently, he's promised the Queen he'll wear it well. :rotfl:
I read his biography, it was pretty entertaining.
Hope you enjoy the concert, OP.
I saw him in 1974.

Surely the UK "Holidays, Days Out and Entertainments" Fourm is the place for this - I was expecting a post from one of is partners, kids or friends when I saw this here!0 -

I've seen him a few times he is fantastic and really plays to the crowd rather than they have come to see him it is more he is there to please them.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0
