Well it appears that I'm off to Jersey on Saturday! My OH has booked a last minute holiday as a surprise.

My 2 boys are going to Corfu with their dad on Friday evening so he thought he would surprise me with a holiday.

I'm totally shocked and very pleased. We're going for a week and staying in a hotel. I just need a bit of spending money for the odd meal out. It will be our first proper holiday together. He's not a good flier so it's a big thing!

I've got 5 days to decide what to pack (along with sorting my boys clothes out too)

    Excited!!!
  • Oh my goodness this is amazing! Surprise holiday. I hope you have a good time and get the weather. Enjoy your time together. xxx

    Thanks guys!

I've had a few days hammering the surveys. I've managed to get a £10 sainsburys voucher from Valued Opions, £5 from Opinion Outpost. I also cashed out £9 from Topcashback. I then joined Quidco and spent £5 through Tesco (but used club card vouchers) and hopefully get another £10 bonus payout. All the cash will go towards my Barclaycard and the Sainsbury voucher will be put towards my Christmas alcohol shop!

    Every little bit helps!

Yes indeed it does. I have slightly gone off the survey boil - but aiming to pull my socks up to help fund Christmas!
It's amazing how TCB adds up. We changed broadband & telephone supplier - £80 cash back - and a cheaper deal - all bonkers, but good for debt busting!

The surveys are soooo boring but I just do a couple whilst I'm watching TV. I'm trying to be organised with them and only stick to 2/3 and just concentrate on those to et the points/£ up.

I've used TCB since 2009 and earned nearly £1k since then. When I tell people at work about it I'm sure they think it's a con, but it's so simple and easy to use!

Had a fabulous couple of days! Me & OH have made good use of the great weather and been out walking.

Today we've walked 7 miles doing the Three Shires Head, which is a walk in the Peak District where Staffordshire, Cheshire and Derbyshire meet. It was beautiful and makes you feel so happy to be alive!

It was also NSD #6 - not brilliant going! I don't think I'll get anymore now with going to Jersey on Saturday.

I'm trying to keep going with the surveys as other than ebay I have no other way of making any extra money! I have to pay my plumber tomorrow which will mean my EF is gone. It was only £200 but it was a start. I still have to pay to get my kitchen ceiling replastered and my car needs servicing and MOT doing in September.

Trying not to stress! It will all work out!

Now breathe, and have a cup of tea or a large gin :)

It will work out, the car is a priority but if the tradesmens are the same in your area as mine the ceiling can wait a month or two.

Tori that's true. But I have to pay my plumber as his wife is my friend.

I've decided to have spotlights put into my kitchen ceiling before I get it plastered, so I need to find an electrician to give me a quote for it. No idea how that much would cost!

Got to get it done, ideally by Christmas as I have family for Christmas lunch and we eat in the kitchen!

My car is top priority for September
