The savings account is the one which lets you set up the DDs yourself rather than having to fill in forms to allow the recipient to do it. It's quick and easy. The interest late is almost non existing but it doesn't matter as you don't need to keep more than a few £s in there - it's only needed so you can use it for DDs.ELITE 5:2

Good morning all...
Izzey...I'm up for testing toiletries today if there are any that need investigating....
I'm mulling over a dilemma that I have with a tenant so need to take my mind off it with a little retail.
I didn't see Bubbs post yesterday....come on sweetie we need you back...Sarah too....and anyone else whos not been around too much lately!!!!
I didnt see what was posted, but I really do think that at the moment the elite is afraid to do anything whether that be post an opinion, post a glitch or whatever....it seems as if everyone is lurking....we cant survive that way and many of us will just casually read rather than contribute to the thread.
Yes some of us have differences of opinions but please dont be frightened to post ....thats the easiest way to kill off the thread going forward.frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

perky....I cant help you with the savings rates aspect of the sale...but as one of these things called a Landlord I can give you plenty of advice on going forward down that route regarding legislation and things that need to be considered regarding the types of rentals your friend can do and the potential costings involved
Is your friend buying another property to live in...if so dont forget that recent changes mean that extra stamp duty is payable on any second purchase if something is already owned...that might be a factor to also consider in the rent/sell decisionfrugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

Kon Mari decluttering mostly, which has had a very beneficial effect.
I lurk over there, I know I wont ever be able to fully embrace the Kon Mari concept but I am learning - its a lovley calming thread.
Yesterday I was doing the bottom of the wardrobes and the mid section shelves. Its like a wave, you start organising one shelve and before you know it all the shelves in a room are organised.
I found only 4 laundry liquids bottles so maybe by Christmas I need another glitch and in the meantime I have to stop compulsively washing things
Then I started sorting out all of the toiletries into types (deodarants, shampoo/conditioner/hairstuff, boys toiletries. bath and shower, skin moisturisers, pantieliners/cotton wool/tissues)
all of the middle of the wardrobe shelves now organised.
I started again this morning and I've now got the recycle basket full and I've got a food bank pile and another for the charity shop - not bad for just after 9 in the morning
On the plus side I found a superdrug hair dye - thought I'd run out of this shade, I now have 3 dyes :T and a box of hotel chocs - very ancient but we like to live dangerously.“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Maybe something to think about - Is it in suitable condition to rent out, does it comply with current legislation?
We had this issue with my Dads house, he needed the extra income as he was self funding - had to pay his own care home fees - but the agent advised us that the work needed to get it to letting condition would not make it a viable option so it had to be sold“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove.
