Di...I like your idea of a nursing home for the sick and injured and fully support that type of recuperation...its more the keeping of otherwise wild animals as pets or for the owners pleasure to say they have something "exotic" that I dont really support.
Many years ago I did some work with an animal charity and was totally shocked by some of the otherwise wild animals that were just abandoned when it became obvious that they were too much for the owners to keep as pets.
rehabilitation and reintroduction to the wild is always what the aim should be in my mind.....and I wish Sarah success with the owl.
I totally agree with you LEJC. We were sat in the lounge a couple of weeks ago when I heard a tawny owl, so I shot out of the front door just as it swooped down our drive over our heads. You cannot put a price on moments like those (so long as you like Owls obviously) we have a barn owl that sits on the telegraph pole outside our house. I used to see it every night whilst I was having my treatment as I spent most of the night awake but I have missed it lately.0 -

The weather has been resonably kind to me, so I have been working nearly every day.:D
I am still having tests done, but it is now looking likely that I haven't got myeloma, so a big relief.:)
This summer seems to be flying by, so only about 2 more months to go, until I will be able to keep up on here!:j0 -
