So...now that BB is over and celeb BB looms...possibly full of a load of celebs that in reality most of us have never heard of....(I read that maybe sam fox of the page 3 era in the 80's may be one of this years inmates...at least that's one I've heard of)
.....which one celeb would you all put in to the house....
I'd love to see Prince Harry...just to see how royal he really is.

Good morning all...
Lovely overnight photos....congratulations to everyone.
Sarah...I love the owl but I am in the camp that thinks wild should be wild unless there is a reason to humanise that would be for the animals benefit....and if you have the knowledge and capability of giving the owl a safe secure and happy life going forward then I salute you....
He looks a very timid chap at the moment(i'm guessing its a male but it might not be!!!)...and I hope that as time goes on and he thrives you will be able to post us some more pictures of progress.
If we haven't frightened her off. In Sarah's case rocky will be released as soon as he is strong enough but that is not always the case unfortunately. Some birds just would not survive in the wild. In those cases which would be kinder, releasing them and them dying within days or giving them a home, a large aviary and food so that they can enjoy a comfortable life. I see it a bit like a great nursing home for the elderly.
This is not the same as Abu Dhabi were the birds are caught , sold and kept in captivity.
Anyway that is purely my opinion , well done Sarah, did you see the programme a couple of years ago were the couple raised two chicks because the mother had been killed. When it came to their release one was off never to be seen again but the other one stayed around for ages. A friend of mine rescued a tawny, which once fit she released, the next morning it was back in the aviary where it slept all day. This continued for months and then one day it never returned, she hopes it found a mate and started a family.

Di...I like your idea of a nursing home for the sick and injured and fully support that type of recuperation...its more the keeping of otherwise wild animals as pets or for the owners pleasure to say they have something "exotic" that I dont really support.
Many years ago I did some work with an animal charity and was totally shocked by some of the otherwise wild animals that were just abandoned when it became obvious that they were too much for the owners to keep as pets.
rehabilitation and reintroduction to the wild is always what the aim should be in my mind.....and I wish Sarah success with the owl.frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!
