I think all the ISA rates are dire. Have you maxed out all the current accounts, e.g 3xBOS, Tescox2 TSBx3 NWx1 the list goes on. These rates are better than an ISA even if you are a non tax payer surely?
I agree ISA rates, even the introductory ones are extremely poor. I've got as much as I can spread over the high interest current and savings accounts. It's a bit more work than I'd like keeping track and keeping the money moving to make the most out of it but needs must.
Sadly I think it'll be a while yet before we see the days of tucking your money away in one place and seeing any sort of decent return.
Get meI saw a financial advisor this week. I'd been really worried about the real possibility that I'll have to give up work in the next few months. I'm not on the breadline but I can't access any pension until I'm 50 either and living off my savings for a few years in the past has taken its toll. Thankfully I'm not in as bad a position as my head was telling me I was
and the advice about the savings was to do just as I have been doing with the higher interest accounts.

400g Toblerone 75p in Waitrose from Tomorrow until 28/06
67.5p in ABitcoin. If you haven't heard of it, you have now.0 -

Fantastic, bit of an old favourite this one. Tricky thing is finding any other good AvW comparisons.
Those Chicken Breast Fillets that I bought earlier today:(:rotfl:. SP vs N/A. Or SP Strawberry Whip that I bought on my other shop (against T):( - N/A across the board. So, in typical fashion, I've already done my fillers - should have waited until a vs W shop later in the week! - and now having to lose 10% on the banana and the N/A for W Maoam Stripes. Cream Crackers may be an idea.
Although I find vs W harder than vs T (normally the easiest one) or vs M, as not wanting to lose a penny or two on each SP item that doesn't compare (always wanting to get best price on everything:wall:), at least it's not as bad as vs S as SP against W does not risk a bad comparison. Ideally you want SP items that are more than 10% cheaper than everywhere else - they are usually same price against T/M:( - or are N/A against everywhere. SP Cheese Slices - yet again:mad::rotfl:. I run out of items as only so many packs of SP Cheese Slices (or Cream Crackers) I can buy...
So, it's down the road of the 10p sweets (not as many of them anymore:() or the single veg. and then it's adding to the cost and may lose the 10% benefit of 7.5p:( on each of the Toblerones and may as well just buy in W.
EDIT: Angel Delight NAS is still on 3 for 2 in W - and same prices throughout offer. I knew the Strawberry NAS worked last time, don't know about the others as I didn't dare risk them - and I've bought SP Strawberry Whip now:wall: - but last time I stuck to Angel Delight Strawberry NAS and thus it counted as only one item:(. It would be great if mix and match of all three was tried and shown whether it worked. Are the Mullers still on mbuy in A - or was it last day of offer yesterday?:( - as Muller Rices are on 3 for £1.50 in W?
Bahlsen Liebniz Chocolate maybe - in 2s. Trouble is M Dark Chocolate Continentals went to 10p in M, so lose again by going for much more expensive branded version even after W comp.0 -
As promised picture of my new striped carped in the hall. Very pleased with it although the photos don't really do it justice :TIt's lilac, grey, beige and cream and is a lot lighter than it looks in the picture:)
Looks fab Nellie. Wish my hallway looked that good xxCherish those you have in your life because you never know when they won't be there anymore.
