I've spent most of the afternoon preparing this trough.....in between showers.
I'm doing successional planting of spring onions and radish. I've decided not to grow lettuce this year. I get it so cheap at whoopsie time and spend a fortune on water just to clean the home grown stuff.

Thats lovely, how'd you manage to nick that, must weigh a ton ;)
No thunder here, no rain either since last night, even though OH tried to use it as an excuse to avoid doing something!

    Makes a change from a headache I guess :D

You can even tell the difference between A chickens and W. The ones from Waites are so much tastier and the meat is whiter. I enjoyed trying out some of the butchers before Christmas in the Amex small shops promotion. I don't think we eat as much meat as we used to, to be honest. We try and have at least one meat free night

I never got involved with the Amex thing :o I'm more adventurous with cooking now and even Misety Guts is coming round to the concept of meat free meals but he can't cook anything for dinner that isn't meat based :rotfl:

That looks fab! We've got a wooden one made up from scaff planks wombled from work. It's 3m long by 0.5m wide and will be hone to chillies and peppers when they're ready. Next year it'll be carrots and parsnips. We've got lots of lettuce growing but use very little water washing it - we have one of those spinner things and that works a treat :D

We had thunder here last night but I slept through the majority of it, save for one rumble that seemed to last forever  lots of rain overnight :j

    They are just cattle troughs.

You find them lying around farms

You need a fork lift to move them:rotfl::rotfl:
