I think I'd go and listen to my 'uncensored' rap songs with swearwords in them now, as I find that gets the words out of my mind:rotfl::rotfl:.

Or maybe I'll listen to "Out of My Mind" by... can anyone remember who did that, haven't heard that one for ages? (I think the only lyrics in the song are "out of my mind".) Of course no-one has any clue what I'm waffling on about:rotfl::rotfl:.

Just had Hugh Pym now on the news, from a hospital, and alerted to the television by some noise - sounded a bit like gunfire, but it was not: probably just someone moving heavy piping around the floor or an ambulance backfiring. So, it's any loud sound and not just bleeping (that calls attention). It's obviously like you would turn around if you were on a street and suddenly heard some noise around you.

I had a laugh earlier when a Republican party pollster named Frank Luntz came onto the TV:rotfl:. Me and my dirty (in other words clean:D) mind.

Actually, and I've mentioned this before, quite a while ago, and potentially dangerous in fact although it does not happen often, I was once in a club when a fight started to break out. Of course everybody got out of the place as soon as possible. However - and I wasn't diagnosed with Asperger's/autism back then - but I now realise that this is the case - everyone else seemed to be aware that the fight was going to happen immediately before it did. Whereas me, the thing that alerted me to it was the fact everybody was moving back and this caused me to move back too (then the man hit the other man) and I was moving back then at the same time as people were shouting out to move back. I don't know:doh: how they knew in advance that the fight was going to happen. Obviously, I do now, I know it was because they clearly had seen someone in the body language that alerted them even beforehand:eek:. Bit of a danger if I can't spot fights breaking out but, indeed, from my perspective, it was like everyone around somehow knew in advance and I did not know how they could do that. They're obviously just psychic:rotfl::rotfl:. Fortunately, though, I'm protected in a way as I don't encounter that situation - I don't go out much at night:o because of my condition. That's because, at social events, I don't perform well and, to be honest, don't really like them. (When I say "don't perform well", I mean I do, I go and converse with people, never make any friends out, don't meet anyone, never come back, long periods of me being on my own, no-one comes up to me, I'm a group and everyone else starts talking among themselves. I just thought it was because people didn't like me or thought that I smelt:eek:. I don't actually. I think I'm boring because I just go on about my special interests, have nothing really to say, I mean, what point is there? At the end of it, a social conversation doesn't usually achieve owt. Unless it gets the girlfriend that I am missing. That doesn't bother me, never mind. I'd rather go to Asda:eek: and shop in the night because it's not boring. But that's just me and my slight 'strangeness':D in this world.)

I still have what I think is a working one but more importantly I have loads of video tapes of the girls when they trampolined that people did for me. I wasn't flush enough to own my own camcorder so had to rely on the generosity of others filming them and putting on to a tape for me.

I am digressing, the question is what do I need to buy to transfer them onto my computer. I am guessing a special lead of some sorts. I think maybe I should do this sooner rather than later. Would be a shame to never be able to access them again.

Is there even somewhere I could take them and pay to get them put on a CD or would that be too expensive?

Get them transferred to DVD. Some video rental shops will do it or look online.

Anyway, it didn't work:p:p, as I've said it nice and loud now (but not so as it could be heard from next door) but not posted it here.

Anyone telling me not to say "the F word" makes me want to swear. Actually it doesn't - I am not being true to myself now and not being truthful since I am not posting what I really think. (:p- that's worse than swearing surely?:question::think:) Actually, I know what is - or should be - and it's not nice at all - spitting at someone, that's something quite unpleasant. So, I'm sure that you cope with a tongue being metaphorically put out, which you know I don't mean:cool:.

I think that spitting at someone should be punished but that saying a word should not. And if someone shouts at you aggressively (obviously I don't mean the rock musician performance of a song on stage) and maybe 'swears', it should be the shouting that gets punished and not the word or words that were used.

Actually it reminds me of... something on 1Xtra/Radio 1 at night (or maybe it was an out-take) where the DJ said - unfortunately the site won't let me post it even in the context of discussion - "don't say" and then a particular swearword and then "or" and then another particular swearword. (Would be a lot easier if I didn't have to do this circuitous way:rotfl:, though I suppose it's put more words in our society, not that you need more words from Savvy:rotfl::rotfl:.) I've tried to find the audio on Youtube and would link to it, but I can't find it - but it's a bit like the description sentence that has been attached to the video here:

Thanks both, just looked on boots and they charge £19.99 for a 60 minute video and more for 90 min and more for 180 min. Not sure how I will get on as I have about 20 videos, most only have about 5 to 10 mins at the beginning. A trampolining routine is possibly no longer than 30 seconds. Not sure whether they would charge per video whatever size or by how much has been recorded/transferred.

Off to look at video rental shops.

Ooo, I can help with this TS. Inside my T extra store they have a photo lab, it's owned by Max Spielmann - are all T's photo labs run by them now? . Anyway, they wanted about £25 to put each VHS tape on to a disc, no matter what length tape it was. DH gave DD1 the job of getting the best deal for him as it was a surprise BD prezzie for me last year. The guy from the photo lab was stood behind DD1 when she called DH with the price they'd just quoted her (we had 10 to convert). She said there was a local photography shop in town which she was going to try to get a cheaper price from. The guy called DD1 over when she'd come off the phone and said he would do them for £12 each :money:

Didn't realise they could do this, and they did a fab job with a very quick turn around. Maybe worth enquiring at your T

I'm waiting for M&S and Boots ones - I was given the impression that all of them came from the same supplier.
