I'm going to respond once for balance and then keep quiet. because really this isn't the right thread for political discussion.underperky wrote: »I try very hard not to get so peed off that we can take every Tom Duck and Harry in from other countries feed clothe and house them ....
But cant pay out a decent wage to people who want to work and put something back into society by taking care of our children grandchildren
Immigrants as a group pay more in taxes than they receive in benefits, so they are actually contributing to our society rather than take from it..... to fund the wave of hangers on and terrorist sympathisers ....
Those with a right to be here (by ancestry or birth) and those escaping terrible conditions in their home countries. I don't really know who you think are terrorist sympathisers as a group of people.Lets take 25 per cent off benefits that are given to people who have never worked here
let alone took time to even learn our language
I object to people making life style choices to live a life on benefits. But that applies to our born and bred benefit scroungers as much as to immigrants. (note my use of the word choices, obviously the sick and disabled need our help.)His big speech about every one must learn to speak English for benefits
then threw 20 million plus on helping them to learn our language whilst taking our money and spending it how they choose
It makes sense that everyone should be able to speak English if they are to contribute to society. That is why we give people an education.

Has anyone else been getting any responses from Topcashback lately? I know people have had trouble with stuff not tracking but now they seem unable to actually supply any gift cards when people are cashing credits in. They won't actually say very much just 'we are having trouble with the supplier' - but they don't warn people that it's best not to apply for gift cards right now. And they won't tell me of ots safe to apply for a BaCS payment. I'm wondering if they themselves are in trouble and about to go belly up.ELITE 5:2

Aww hampy glad stanley boy is "ok" x
Thanks bubbsI'll second that too....and apologies Hampy....I always though Stanley was a dog!
but I can now see he's a very refined and handsome cat.
Ha ha, don't worry - sometimes he thinks he's a little dog, runs to the front door when the bell rings to see who it is. Thank you
I agree hampy. Hope he recovers quickly and is not distressed at being caged.
Lots of strokes and chatting will be good for him, and for you.

Yes, that's so true. This evening he is lying in his crate with the patio doors open so there is a little breeze going over him. Managed to get a whole antibiotic tablet down him just now (his dose is 1.5 twice a day ), he spat the other half out so I've hidden it in his food. He no likey tablets. Our usual vet gives him a shot which lasts him 2 weeks

Underperky and Silvercar... the only thing I will say is that if there is a really need for cuts......... (they are just ways to create them/us, deserving/undeserving divisions in society).... Cameron would not have given his staff the additional money when he left the job of PM.100

Need some help from someone techie please. I just read on news that last VCR player is being made end of month in Japan, not sure if that means that is it for rest of the world too?
I still have what I think is a working one but more importantly I have loads of video tapes of the girls when they trampolined that people did for me. I wasn't flush enough to own my own camcorder so had to rely on the generosity of others filming them and putting on to a tape for me.
I am digressing, the question is what do I need to buy to transfer them onto my computer. I am guessing a special lead of some sorts. I think maybe I should do this sooner rather than later. Would be a shame to never be able to access them again.
Is there even somewhere I could take them and pay to get them put on a CD or would that be too expensive?
Appreciate any replies thanks0 -
I had a siamese that had a fascination with toilets when he was a kitten. We used the loo blue things at the time. One morning I saw him tear out of the bathroom, followed him into DS1's room and had to pull him out from under the bed. One soaking wet blue cat appeared. Had to bath him using baby shampoo, much to his disgust. Didn't cure him of his toilet fascination though..:rotfl:
