Did I ever mention the bits of blue pottery I keep finding when I'm digging down the field. Here is another piece. I've decided to start saving them and see what I can make of them. As far as I know the field was only ever used for grazing so I'm puzzled. Anyone know how I can start finding out a bit more?

that was just a word I thought off the top of my head - but wondering now whether the word "sandwich" makes people feel hungry EDIT: Especially at 5 o'clock PM - a contextualised difference again? Interesting, in a way, if it does, because it's about how words provoke connotations and feelings for people. I think I'm concerned about other people's feelings way too much, in a way, and that's possibly why things affect me, I don't know.

Might be thought in fact, as regards MSE, ah! I had to turn it around and justify myself, about the words that advertisers use to provoke certain emotions (usually in non-Asperger's people ha ha:rotfl::rotfl:) about their products that get people to spend more money than sense and about trying to make ourselves resistant to such things.

Um...I'm having an interesting ramble aren't I today?:):D:rotfl: Hope I haven't bothered anyone:o:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: (laughing at my own pretense of embarassment where I actually don't have any).

EDIT: Someone's getting their butties out now as I speak:rotfl::rotfl::D:T.
EDIT 2: See, I also said "as I speak", despite it being me typing written - or appearing in the form of lightwaves on a screen etc. - text. So, you can "speak" through written or appearing text and not necessarily through spoken-aloud words. It doesn't to be spoken aloud to be "spoken", or "said" (may be "said" in a different way - like body language (note that it's called "language despite not being spoken-aloud vocalised words) "says" something, to everybody else:rotfl::rotfl:) - actions, or inactions, can "speak" louder than words, and can be anything done, or not done, in any way which is understood (or misunderstood) by others.

Soundwave:idea: - that was the word I was looking for to describe the form in which the word was in in that song in the restaurant! The swearwords in soundwave form. The soundwaves' suggestion - and I got the full message, unwished for, in that environment - the mere soundwaves caused me to leave the venue entirely. I could hear precisely what was being said and found the sexually crude implication to be offensive because of the language in which it was couched and the inappropriate environment in which that language and message was fully and completely conveyed to me (and, against my wishes, I felt obviously conveyed to the people around me in my presence at the time, since it was all communicated to me - do you know what? I don't actually like offensive messages being communicated to me in any form whatsoever in places in which I find those messages to be offensive to me. Otherwise, in places in which those messages are not offensive to me, they are not offensive messages at all in those places, but were, and are, or at any rate, not wanted to be heard knowing what it means and having the precise image and meaning and suggestion given to me - I am positive that I am not mistaken in what the altered sound meant - in a place in which I don't wish that message to be around because of my company at the time - and it makes no difference if it's all adults, it's still not wanted by me and particularly (I'm sexist here!) in front of women who are there around me. You know, have some respect! (To me, as a person that you are inconveniencing.)

I'm not suggesting that necessarily all women would be offended by such things - although the fact they are not allowed on this website (I assume and I would not test it) speaks volumes and shows the justification, I think, for me to have a problem with the song - but that, in my own right, as a man or not as a man, I still find it inappropriate regardless of any other context than people being around me, especially a woman my father is with who was present and strangers elsewhere in the venue). And it does not matter how much all other people around me seemed to be perfectly fine with it and did not appear to react (but then again I can't read their body language so don't know if there was any reaction there) - I cannot understand why they don't have a problem if so as I do have one.

It also does no good to argue to me: "It's about the way in which you have perceived it". Yes, it is about the way which in which I've perceived it! All communication is about the way in which it is perceived - otherwise, without that, they could never, at any time, ever be anything that someone deems to be "inappropriate" ever posted on this forum. It's about what we do and the way in which we affect others (in other words, on these occasions, how others' activities affect me). But, then, I'm too concerned about that. And I've perceived it as something I didn't want, in that environment with people being around me, because of its nature, what it was suggesting to me and clearly meant (and was understood as such). It just makes clear its own inappropriate nature, because it's not said out fully aloud (and I wouldn't want that either there*), and therefore is inappropriate. It is inappropriate to me (and I mean not just the sound of the actual words, which were not used but that material, which was not used, is not the issue: but that soundwave replacement material, because of its meaning, I consider to be inappropriate and something I do not wish to hear - and especially because it causes me any concern of any kind at all. Also, since people are "protected" from swearwords because they do not play explicit versions because 'some people do not wish to hear [my emphasis] swearwords' then the soundwaves that carry that meaning for me I do not wish to hear either and especially not in an unacceptable (to me) place around me. So, they should respect me as well and not just some people who object or "cringe" (how stupid!) to the uncensored sound version of the words and, for reasons perfectly justified to them, do not wish to hear those).

Anyway, I doubt that adults in some environments, like nightclubs, would find swearing something uncomfortable or unbearable to hear in songs - although this was not a nightclub but (problematically) across an entire restaurant and it also goes beyond swearing and into sexually explicit context - so all that they have done is raise an issue for me that would possibly not even have been raised otherwise - and is and has been unwanted (by me) in itself. And, if you think it's inappropriate, like you clearly do by not using the word and by using the soundwave instead, then you should not - indeed I demand, around me, must not - I insist - play this inappropriate material instead as it's the same as your own inappropriate meaning only, if anything, giving me more issue about it.

Anyway, going on again now:rotfl: - moving on...:rotfl::rotfl:.

I rest my case:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:. There is no way of countering my argument - it is inappropriate to me in my environment and therefore it is.

*As I think that would be uncomfortable to me, in a restaurant/gym/doctor's surgery/shop environment, because of its nature too, the same nature in fact as the material which I did hear.
