I saw mention of beef being on offer in T so popped in there earlier. It was a good deal at £5 per kilo .

... or would have been, but some slack member of staff had left one on display at £10 per kilo when all the others were £5 . What are the odds, I picked up the wrong one ...

Fortunately Mr T has a good refund policy so I wasn't left out of pocket :A.

Having been REALLY careful for months, today I spilled a Muller Corner red cherry yoghurt on my very pale cream carpet ! My language was ripe - especially as the majic stain remover I ordered from QVC hasn't been delivered yet. It was only a small patch but its right in the middle. A good rub with a wet cloth seemed to get it out but it still shows where the carpet was wetted - I am hoping that when it dries out properly it will have gone. Fingers crossed. DH is just glad it wasn't him that did it.

Can be either. Don't think its connected to looking for people with work experience, just depends on company policy. I have some sympathy having watched DS2 make applications, they seem to take hours. Almost a full time job to find a job.

Eldest Granchild had her appendix out late last night and is still in hospital drugged up to the eyeballs on morphine. They were going to send her home tonight even though she's far from compos mentis with the drugs but have reluctantly agreed to keep her in overnight. They also found a small cyst and some blood in her abdomen so she has to see the Gynae team. All a bit worrying - far more so than my carpet !
