You may already know this but I didn't and was very surprised at what a Tesco CS manager told me today !

I won 4 Hoggidy pies in their monthly draw and they emailed me some vouchers - but my local Tesco no longer stocks the. I phoned a store further away and they didn't stock them any more either. The CS manager checked the Tesco online database and confirmed that they are still available even though all stores in my area have ceased stocking them.

The potentially useful bit of info he gave me was that provided items were still on their available data base customers could ask any store resume stocking that item and get stock back in for you. It sounded a bit unlikely to me but he said that, although very few customers were aware, it was their policy. It wasn't clear whether they would just order what I wanted or if the items would go back on the shelves. I will see what my local store has to say tomorrow - should be good for a laugh anyway. If it works then it could be useful when stores annoyingly discontinue stuff.
