On the plus side Errant son was less annoying yesterday - he has identified 4 suitable job vacancies which I am hoping he will be working on his applications when he gets up, if he isn't already
He had another of his mystery trips into town yesterday and he also went to see his mate from scouts last night, hence the need for a lie in this morning as they ended up in the pub afterwards and the sandwiches at midnight. I am hoping he will start going regularly and renew his leadership qualifications again but we will see
What I am not happy is his intermediate plan to do low pay low grade minimum wages part time jobs - he would hate these
So that is where we are up to now ...“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
Its 10.1.2 - the latest version they want me to update to which I am still dithering about
I recently updated a 5C to 10.3.1 without a problem.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Better that than sit around the house annoying you? And give him some money to tide him over. As long as it doesn't distract from the main aim of finding a full time proper job.
Does he need to show an income to bring his wife here? Someone I know who married someone from far away with no right to be here had to show consistent earnings over a set time before her visa would be considered.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Good morning - it will be interesting to see if this still matches on APG as you would need to have clear calculations before ordering more if you are near the monthly limits. Obviously no difference for instore shops or if they have stock, but if not it is very profitable.
My first world problem is then spending the vouchers as I don't tend to need big shops! Also would an APG over £50 result in a £50 voucher?
Thank you
Anon
It did during the UDI saga - and a £50 one was a real pain in the buttocks. I prefer £20 ones.ELITE 5:2

On the minus side, whilst my phone was going dead on me last night I was getting messages from my sister
They have been away in Oz on a business trip, got back on Monday and yesterday she saw the consultant. Surgery is planned for the 19th at Shrewsbury- she didn't say exactly what but it must be a lumpectomy
I don't know how long they keep you in hospital afterwards?
Anyway 2 weeks later if all has gone well there is a clinic appointment and then if all has gone according to plan 6 weeks after the op radiotherapy starts, everyday for 3 weeks.
Fingers crossed that all goes to plan. I don't know about the logistics though of getting her to and from as they run their own business and only her OH drives.
We were due to meet at the end of the month so we are trying to sort out a day much sooner
Last month when she told us it didn't seem quite real especially as physically she felt no different, no physical symptoms etc and also everything was put on hold until after Oz but now with operation scheduled and various dates ahead there can be no heads in the sand ...“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Yes - my only info is from what Ive read on direct.gov so Ive not read or heard of anybody but it seems you need to earn over an amount - its more than what you would get on minimum wage. You need to have at least 3 pay slips - so thats maybe 4 months after commencing employment.
And you need proof of employment anyway to rent anywhere - he will also have to prove accomadation.
The worrying bit is how much all this paperwork will cost - I have seen horrifying figures ...
Anyway, main thing this morning is to get him harnessed to the job applications“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Goooood Morning.....And what a beautiful warm sunny day it is.....I was up early...Oven has had a good spring clean...Its now nice and shiny ready for a nice pie....Or maybe a cake...Hmmmm What will it be.....Housework all done...Been up to the P.O.
Maybe a bit in the garden....It would be a shame to let Ray be out there all alone....I think I need to join him to get a tan.......
Hopings all is well with you all .......It's nearly that time for a coffee...Or tea if you prefer...I will set out the loungers.....Your all welcome.....:coffee::coffee::wave:
I don't like to end on a sad note but my best friends wife finally lost her battle with cancer and passed away....She was such a kind and gentle lady....but has left a lot of beautiful memories...for all the people who knew her...[STRIKE]68 [STRIKE]Mouses[/STRIKE] [/STRIKE]
OMG, I'm rich! Silver in the hair, Gold in the teeff, Crystals in the Kidney, Sugar in the blood, Lead in the butt, Iron in the arteries and an inexhaustible supply of natural gas! I never thought I would accumulate such wealth!! :rotfl::rotfl:0 -
I've been looking at the Easter Eggs offer from Thorntons. How small is a 150g egg? I can't work it out.
A big bar of chocolate is 200g...£1:20 much better value than an Easter Egg...:EasterBun[STRIKE]68 [STRIKE]Mouses[/STRIKE] [/STRIKE]

Finally all my glitching over the past six months has been handed over. They have a loft full of nappies and dd said the other day....I can't believe how many nappies I'm using, you've saved us a fortune :j literally music to my ears
I took them to Preston on Monday to register the birth and somehow we got onto the subject of baby food. I passed a comment about the boxes of baby porridge and jars etc I've got waiting for when she is 4 months and Dd bf said have you bought us baby food aswell......my reply was.....not really bought :rotfl: he just thinks I'm a nutter. He also looked sceptical when I gave him some of the sharpies....he asked, can I really use these to shave my face. ...me....of course you can. ....dh when I told him  they may be shaped differently :rotfl: we will have to wait and see :rotfl:
After a few nights back in hospital with jaundice mum and baby are back home and doing great. I don't think I'd ever really thought about what kind of mum she would be but she's just perfect
I also had baby food before my two granddaughters came along. Its amazing how much you can save them with all these glitches. As all my stuff is going into storage my DD and her OH came on saturday and did a shop in my cupboard and freezer. Went away with 4 full bags!! It makes such a difference to them. Glad the baby is home and they are doing well. All these daughters learn from us Elite Mums and therefore are great Mums.
Best wishes
Silly me I thought sharpies were the pens but they are obviously razors!! Cant partake of many glitches at the moment as I am likely to be out of my house past July now and doubt the landlord of my lovely holiday let wants it filled with glitches.0 -
I registered on the Higgidy Pies site a couple of weeks ago - and I've just won 4 free pies in their monthly draw ! They are in the form of 4 separate vouchers which I have printed off.
A bit of better news - as the conservatory man has just left after I signed up for a £2100 new roof to sort the damage out. It seems I have 2 panels damaged and new ones would be a different colour. Also he is going to replace 2 small and one large window section which have blown and he is including those in the price so not a bad deal.ELITE 5:2
