So in town we collected the Wilko loo paper order,
OH got his free crisps and free birthday cake from Greggs (no offers showing on my Greggs app still so I contacted them and they say I do have offers - might try deleting the app and reloading or something equally drastic)
Also got the free baby water from Boots which is on shopimum - this time it says you are not allowed to get them from Holland Barrett - annoying as I have some HB rewards vouchers to use) Boots Parent club though gave me 10 points for them.
My digital scales battery finally died, usually lasts about 5 years so then you have to remember where you got them from last time but we decided it must be Home Bargains. Annoyingly they come in a pack of 6 but three different sizes. I was wondering what you do with the 4 batteries you don't need but as it turned out 2 fitted the car key blipper so 2 problems sorted out for 99p :T
I had a free ice cream to get from McD so we went in, have all Mcd gone over to this self serve machine system now?
As it was raining again I eat it inside and we sat next to a couple with the cutest ever baby, all smiles and cooing:A So before we set off again I remembered I still had a Lindt bunny the sampling lady had given me in Sainsbobs on Friday so I gave them a bunny
Sainbobs thinks OH is lovely and so sent him 600 point voucher for spending £1 so I got a half price underwear pack for £3 (for me
Then we set off for home again, brief pit stop for tea before going out again to get salad dinner makings from Morribobs. I also got 2 lots of flowers, Chrysanths as they last well, one bright yellow and then I found a white set reduced to 9p still in good condition, which went nicely together.
We went through self scan, OH doing the scanning and so I ideally looked up and hanging out of the catalina machine was a £5 voucher :T
That made a nice dent in the shopping bill :T
It is the anniversary today of when OHs Mother died, it took less than 12 weeks from diagnose to death. So we took the flowers up to the grave and the little urn thing where the flowers go had been colonised by a very busy any nest. 2006 - that was a particularly awful year, no idea how we managed to get through it.
so thats been our Saturday“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
We went to town, actually not our nearest but its one easy to get 2, couple of stops down the M6, all the shops we needed and parking for 2 hours is free
So we came off the motorway, first time we have been in about 2 months, new housing estate built in the meantime, another old house knocked down ready for development ....so many changes in the last 12 months, town Center unrecognisable. new shopping park built to one side and so everything has closed down in half the town ...
I really thought, this might have been my home town 25 years ago but now I really over it, it no longer has any meaning or association for me and there is nothing for me to come here for ...
Very saddening[/QUOTE]
We visited 2 weeks ago, must say I was disappointed with the new development.
I think the council should concentrate on town centres instead of opening all these out of town shops.
Years ago i visited your other town nearly every week for the shops and what was once a brilliant market, but that has gone the same way and is too spread out, leaving the central areas very depressing.
Afternoon peeps.curl girl with a space - even though there is no space in my cupboard!!!0 -
In Ts
18 rolls for £3 :T edit I think 3 packs 27 rolls...would be £3.75 .... off I trot..
BC ending 8309
In my store the SEL is £5 each and the scanner shows £5 each too.
Were these £2.50 on the shelf or could the till show a different price to the scanner and sel please? Checked at the till and it is showing £5. Is this the old package design?
I have checked Extra.
Many Thanks

It's been glorious here all day, even now the sun is shining but a few clouds floating around. Thought I'd sit outside so parked myself on a bench near the remains of my rockery and elevated fat feet on a massive piece of tree trunk that DH and DS4 dragged through the gate after they chopped said tree down a couple of years ago. Lovely home for bugs and grubs, lovely grub for hedgehogs
Couldn't go out so ignored the loo roll, I'm sure my Mr T doesn't stock the 9 pack anyway, not that variety.
Decisions, decisions, what do I fancy for my tea. Nothing prepped but I don't feel I can eat, nothing tempts me today. Mr AJ having stew left from yesterdayThere's no place like home
Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.

Errant son has been home today, normally any visitors staying over get scooped up and included in any outings or shopping trips we go on but its not our job to entertain him.
We had a minor incident this morning when Errant son was complaining about his bed linen having biting things in it as he had a bite on his leg so he stripped his bed and put everything in the machine.
He asked why I was getting shouty and I said it was deeply insulting to me to insinuate that his bed was unclean and bug ridden. I said that the only person that slept in his bed was him and no one had slept in his bed since their unexpected visit at New Year. So if his bed had any bugs it was totally his own doing.
And no its not bug ridden. No one else has been bitten.
I think eldest son had one night in the single bed in the same room last month and no complaints.
No cats are allowed in the bedroom and no cats can get up to the top bunk anyway.
(Yes I am guilty of not bed changing but it was only used for one night since August 2016. It is a high bunk so its difficult for me to even strip it and I never make it up, I always left it to him, boys have always changed their own beds)
So he put his duvet out to air on the line. I said to him to keep a eye on it as it was about to rain. We went to town and then came back at lunchtime and it had rained and the duvet was on the line in the rain.
A thought just occurred to me so I went to check the washing machine and yes his bed linen was still there unwashed - I think he expected me to put the machine on before I went to town, then take it out and dry it when I came home
Ive just told him to put the machine on, told him on Tuesday how it works so he has no excuse. Its only poly cotton so it wont take long to dry if he remembers to take it from the machine after it finishes. Otherwise it will be his problem finding bed linen for tonight.
He is assuming I am running a b & b - I am not.
Deep sigh, its like the skirmishes you have with teenagers taking the p**s ... and expecting to be waited on hand and foot.“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Off to have another look in the freezer
Have a look in mine as well - I don't think there is much in there to spark any culinary flames of desire ....“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Its Cheshire, if its not raining its under a thick cloud bank, its inevitable but Staffordshire was much the same this morning ....“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove.
