More deo  think we need to do a parcel for mhoc's DS.
I didn't get as far as Sainsbobs yesterday as had 2 bags full from SD.
They have done a total refurb of my local as Argoose is moving in. Last couple of weeks there hasn't been any sign of any 20p bits while they have been moving aisles around.
no he is still using the Mitchum roll on I gave him last summer - yes the ones we had print off MOCs.
Ive been trying to put some mens toiletries in the food bank collections but the smell of Lynx is so tied up with having 2 teenage lads in the house, oldest one showering twice a day and the resulting lynx fug ...“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. My iPad used to change from portrait to landscape view if I turned it round - now its locked itself and doesn't change - I have looked at the Settings stuff but can't work out how to unlock it. If anyone can advise I would appreciate help.
Also, I have looked at the Dr Oetker promotional site and it says vouchers will be limited to 4 per postal address. I suppose the emailed £1 vouchers might be OK per different email address but the posted gift cards (not that I anticipate winning even 1 let alone more than £4 !) will be a problem.
Thanks for the further info on Dr O.
Re the iPad. Swipe up and you should have a little menu. In the centre there are five round icons, with the airplane mode one on the left. The right hand one is the orientation lock. If it is not on, turn it on and then turn it off again and see if that works. I presume you have already tried powering off the iPad and powering it off again -- or even doing a hard reset? Neither of those will lose any of your settings.0 -
25 and he is an outdoor adventure sports instructor - he has worked for 2 of the biggest well known companies in the UK - if he does not get a good reference from the kent place then possibly thats it, career finished. Twice now he has not got through the trial periods.
But possibly the originally firm will have him back if he is still unemployed in November.
As for the wife I know absolutely nothing whatsoever, he has not said a single word to us ever. my only info is 3rd hand so I dont know how accuate it is as he does not always have much grasp of the truth. Ive heard 2 stories as to how they met but I dont know what to believe as Ive been fed so many lies. It seems to be December 2015 when they were both working in Hong Kong and engaged by March 2016 - by which time he was loosing his job. I know nothing about her at all.
They invited themselves here unannounced for a couple of days over New Year 2017 (much cuffle as dinner had to stretch for an extra 2 so more mash and veggies, no beds made up etc, fortunatley we had eldest son and GF here at the time who were life savers, organising everything) So we have met her.
As to whether its a love match or the need for spousal visas - who knows. I dont go to his FB page as its full of gushy lovey dovey hippy dippy stuff and endless endless selfies- possibly out there you can live on just love and no money but its not so practical in the Uk) I really dont have enough info to make a proper assessment - maybe its 50/50.
Sounds to me like tor Eldest children are great kids and this one was sent to try you. I know all about lies as my daughter was brilliant at it. Now she is a mother herself she knows how Mums worry and wouldnt dare to lie to me. Enjoy the lovely weather and ignore him as best you can. Even when we are annoyed with our kids they think its ok!!0 -
I made rhubarb grumble last night with 5 sticks of rhubarb and 2 dubious eating apples from the fridge of unknown age plus the last scrape out of the strawberry jam jar and the last bit of apple sauce - plus I found a dented custard tin which I got for 25p
The crumble topping I made including the butter pack ends I freeze down (oh wont finish a pack of butter) demera sugar, McD flour I got for COS and also some crushed brazils
Think there might have to be more of this frugal cookery in the weeks and months to come
Love it!I think we should start a list:
Rhubarb grumble (mhoc)
Grump steak (Seren)

Thank you ! I've actually got 6 round icons, not 5, but the one on the RHS is obviously a lock. I've just tapped it and it shows the orientation lock is now off. Its working fine and I a happy bunny. I didn't know that menu was there and had been fiddling with the normal Setting menu trying to change it. Thanks again.ELITE 5:2

yep, food should always be made with love but in some cases its done very grudgingly :rotfl:“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. yes, never possible to have a full set.

Eldest child drove us insane, right pain in the bum from about 2 until she was 23 but she finished uni, met her lovely OH, moved in with an older couple who were a good influence over her, started a job with a company who saw her potential and then the duckling turned into a swan and now she is a different person altogether - even she is embarrassed by the person she was ...
I don't think the same transformation will happen with Errant son though“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. DD just called and he OH has just seen the specialist after his cholesteatatoma op a few weeks ago and he is now deaf in that ear. Apparently they will leave it for 6 months and he can either have a hearing aid or they will rebuild the bones in his ear. I cant remember if it was vanilla twist or queen of cheap who gave me advise last time but would appreciate some again.
Deafness is a risk with cholesteatoma surgerythey need to give it 6 months to let it settle to the level it's going to. A bone anchored hearing aid is probably the best option as a conventional hearing aid won't give as much benefit

OMG sounds like my dd although she was ok till she was about 13 until about 3 years ago. She met her OH at 19 and led him a merry dance till about 3 years ago. He hung in there ( she thought he was a bit too ordinary and not exciting enough) and once she realised they got married, have a lovely home and a darling baba. She is now the most organised person I know although I am still sorting all the crap she left behind in her bedroom. Now with the flooding etc lots of it is going in the bin ( or the skip they just delivered)
Just hang in there. Hope your OH is supportive to you in all of this.0
