Hi mhoc, what a busy time you have been having lately. Has errant son returned to the UK as a married man or have I just dreamt this? If so is his wife going to be moving in too? Sorry if I am wrong but I seem to remember you saying he had gone abroad to get married:(

Yes - 2 days before his sister

Yes I am ignoring the entire thing, my head is firmly in the sand. He has been more of less totally out of contact since he went to Kent last August (except when he wanted something) so I know nothing.

For her to move to the UK she needs to get a spousal visa, Errant son needs to show immigration he has an income and he also has to have an income over £? amount and I think he will need 3 months salary slips.
This is a big vague because its just what Ive figured out from the direct.gov website - not been able to back this info up yet.

Its more than minimum wage. Errant son works in quite a low paid industry but if was still working for the company in kent he would have had enough salary and he would also have had the 3 salary slips.

Instead he is out of work.

He also needs somewhere to live as immigration also need this info. This he cant get until he has a job and salary

In the meantime she is living in the Philippines, he is at home

He is applying to get into the army which he is totally unsuitable for and his sister thinks the same except worst.
It took his brother most of a year to go through applications, interviews, tests, PE etc before he got onto basic training.
His plan B is the firm he originally worked for but they are not recruiting until November.

So thats about it for now.

Mostly I am focussing on the older 4 who obviously love us - eldest child and her beloved OH
eldest son and Gf and their imminent re location.
Trying not to think about my youngest sisters health until we know what is what.

Quick meet with HR today - back to work tomorrow. :)

DGD's books now wrapped and ready for next week, also Viking package delivered. Mostly had a NSD - apart from giant tubes of Smarties from McColl which scanned at 50p :D

Long phone call from DD updating me on their moving schedule - renovations are almost complete and so it looks like it will be early June, school places permitting. Exciting times for them all, they can't wait. :j

So I need a plan. Moved here 5 yrs ago to be nearer, it's all been very nice (though not a place I would have chosen) and it's been lovely being able to see so much of them all, and looking back, it was just as well I was here to help them through all the difficult times.

So now I can choose what I want to do for myself. Thinking Shropshire/Welsh borders. That always felt like home. :D

But where to start? Not a clue... :rotfl:

We bought pizza today as my nephew eats a lot of it. I didn't do the Dr O promotion last time because I personally don't eat pizza. My brother got to the website and it's a holding page so it doesn't say anything about it. 'My thread will know' said I, and sure enough, thank you Pacifica!

But could someone tell me what I am supposed to be looking for please? Is it the red printed code in the middle of the front of the box on the inside? Or is it one of the black printed numbers on the inside of the flap where you open the pizza? (Not sure I can read all of them at present.)

By the way, MyS says pizza is £1.25 in A

Thanks for your help, Elite! I think DB is seriously considering another freezer...

It will be the red code inside the box.

It's not a discount code. It's a product code which you put in the search box and add to your order

Thank you. :) You must be a mind reader!
Hope I've done it correctly this time
I'm always in Iceland as i park there when I nip into town. So not too bad if it goes wrong.

There is a big gang of Elite close to Wrexham - well at least 2 :)

Then you can easily get to Liverpool and Chester via train for the big shops and all points south and north for hols and weekends away.

And you also have North Wales for seaside breaks

And some good National Trust places within easy driving distance :)

And across the Welsh border you get free prescriptions and free bus passes at 60 :)

    Tia.

If it's the same as last time, inputting the code on the box generated a coupon to your email for you to print. T&c not visible on website yet as promo doesn't start until 5th April. But box says coupons valid for 14 days from print date.

Have you ever thought of writing a book about your family mhoc.

You could easily pass it off as fiction, no-one would ever believe it was real
