Does he actually have a satellite connection? If he does then it should work, but he might be better off getting a freesat box.

In his flat does he have an aerial point? And is there an aerial on the flat? If so then it could be he needs to call in maintenance, or call the landlord if it is rented. We often have to sort out aerial connections in flats, the problems vary from the previous tenants having decided to rip the cabling out to something simply not turned on.

There is a dish outside that as far as we know runs to 3 flats. The area is notoriously bad for picking up tv reception. There is an aerial point in the lounge.

I told him this morning to have a word with his neighbours who have been there 3 years as they probably had the same problem when they moved in.

His DGF is going to speak to neighbour this morning then to the letting agent. We only know of the reception problems as ds1 lived in the ground floor flat for several years.

If the dish runs to three flats already it would probably need a new LNB (attaches the cables to the dish), and the dish might not be big enough either.

Talking with the neighbours is best.

After such glorious sunshine yesterday we've got cloudy damp weather this morning. I thought it was too good to be true. If course it could change, you never know.

Other news today, the bed we bought for DS4 and DGF arrives today so Mr AJ is doing his duty and attending for delivery. We offered to buy them a bed, thinking double, which is what he had here. Oh no, none of that, a king size no less costing BofD more money :eek: I had to chuckle though, it's obvious DS4 will get a better sleep as he's a big lad, well over 6ft tall :cool:

Right, lead me to the coffee please, I'm desperate. Happy shopping if you're heading out.

And to think Di has been a grandma just over 24 hours :rotfl: :rotfl: I bet she's sleeping better now that's over :rotfl: :rotfl:
