Okay, while it is so quiet, a question for the elite....
I took out Virgin Holiday Insurance after being sent an email from them advertising £25 cash back. As far as I can see on the T&C, I met the criteria for the cashback. Main criteria was you had to have a Virgin Credit card that I do.
So.....cashback never arrived, so I call them up, complain, and they say that it was rejected as I was never offered that promotion, so I say I still have the email they sent me. The then say it is up to the 3rd party administrating the offer, and put me over to them. I call the third party promotions company up, they say the will investigate. They promised they would get back to me, and never have.
Now as far as I can see it, Virgin have the responsibility, not this 3rd party promotion company. I know its only £25, but they have really pee'ed me off. I was thinking about putting a FOS complaint in, if only because that will cost them more than the £25 either way.
    Thoughts/advice please.
    Sorry cant help:o

Oh and funny story about the ragu, Mr TS froze a couple of portions, and we took one up to DD2 when we visited before xmas.

One night she phoned to ask if she could cook half a bag of boil in the bag rice, yes I know she is going to be a doc one day and it is probably common sense. But I said it would be ok to cook it all and keep for the next night so she popped it in the boiling water. At that point she told me she was having it with the "rogan josh" that we had taken up. I had to break the news that she should be cooking pasta with the ragu. :rotfl:

Anyway rice went ok with it probably because of the cream and wine. ;) I didn't think Mr TS's writing was that bad...

I think Boden have finally cottoned on to me:o

I got a £10 voucher in the post today.

But they want me to spend £30:eek:

Boden dont love me now, I think I have to sign up again.

Mind you on ebay you can find any number of Boden dresses under £25 ....

Mr TS got a recipe from one of our italian cookbooks for a ragu with white wine and cream and it was in fact delicious honestly. :o

I just googled to see if I could find the recipe and found this telepgraph article and it mentions someone has tweeted a pic of a recipe in a book, the one we have although ours is a bit cleaner than the one in the pic but we have had it since we were first together before we even got married. :rotfl:

I could have double cream in most stuff but I must resist as I need to keep my cholesterol under control. I've just had nearly half a tub of Carte Dor

You need to read up on the forum for fines for parking charges. It used to be ok to ignore these fines as they cannot enforce them but I think this has changed. Well done on the whoopsies. I haven't done very well with them this week. Have you finished all the sipp reading?

Keep trying with the whoopsies ...you will get lucky again:T

I think we are finished looking at SIPPS . We aren't going to do it. We had DS home at the weekend and he's pretty good with stuff like this. I think it's certainly a no brainer for those not using up their full allowance but it's not for us.:o:)

    3. Dont pay it. Do over to the parking forum and read the newbies thread. Not enforcable.

I agree with everything not in bold. However if you think they can't be enforced try https://www.supremecourt.uk/cases/docs/uksc-2013-0280-judgment.pdf

As for the ticket i'd moan to the surgery management or if they have a patient and liason service, them.

Parking Eye do not contest popla appeals very often so you'd probably win with a decent appeal but again, that would forgo the opportunity to pay the lesser amount if you lost at popla. However, if you are already thinking of paying the £70 then it essentially a free go to get rid of it. (I do doubt that the NHS gets the higher amount though.)

i was told that all the stuff said was lies but they still wanted the ban to stand in original store

i then went to my other store today and manager has said its all fine again to shop
