Evening all :wave:
What a day. They dont make this caring lark easy. Had mum ready by 12 waiting for hospital transport for her 2pm appt. Had her outside by 2pm, still no transport. So phoned them and they said should be there within the hour. Phoned mums appt place and they said will still see her, they contacted transport and also told them will be with us by the hour. Waited and waited, had to take mum back in again as despite the sunshine and wrapped up in scarves, blankets and thick coat she said she was cold. 5pm mums appt place phoned up and said will have to cancel but can see her tomorrow at 1.30pm. They said they will arrange transport again and will be putting in a complaint to transport.
So hopefully things will go more to plan tomorrow . Fingers crossed:o
hugs - and it messes up lunch time as well and getting dinner prepped and ready ...
At least they made another appointment and will sort the transport out plus at least she had only one appointment to attend.
MY OH managed to do 2 appointments in one morning and then came home and lay down on the sofa for the rest of the afternoon
It did though partly answer one of my queries about what he will be doing with himself after retirement (if they ever stop putting up the state pension age that is )

Another hurdle passed for DD2, she has been accepted by her first choice foundation school. :j Just finals to pass now and a few clinical procedures to get signed off. Will all be done and dusted by end of April not long now. :eek: Although final results as to whether there will be a doctor in the house won't be until June...she will be in Canada then getting some practice in.

I had 2 pairs last year when you mentioned them, pair leather and pair suede. I love them , wore my suede pair everyday for work for months now. I'm in and out of van all day long, have to stand and wait for customers upto 15 minutes a time and when it's cold and wet it not nice, but I've had lovely warm dry feet. Would love some more and for my girls to put away for maybe next Christmas lol0 -

I think I have decided it is not worth jumping through more hoops to get the free Smegg stuff. I have been for a kitchen consultation, apparently I also need to get a costing. This may or may not come by email so I am going to wait a while see what comes through on the email, but I really don't want to go to the next appointment. Partly because I would really like the kitchen lol
If this means I do not get the freebies then fair enough, it was an interesting exercise but I do not want to be put under the pressure I think would happen.What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
