On my phone the Boots app updated so it needed my Boots card number, date of birth etc re- adding

When I was playing with the website a few weeks ago I realised I actually do belong to the parents club so I updated my babies. This may explain why I have on the updated app a free Boots folic acid and vitamin d tablets size 60 worth £2.99 :D

I am wondering if I get these plus a couple of the vitamin c and zinc tablets what would the result at the till be?
Vits are on 2 for 3 offer.

    I had an experiment online
    1 folic acid and vit d £2.99
    2 vitamin c and zinc 97p
    total £3.96

    saving £5.93

Is it totally unlikely that in store it would be buy 3 get 2 free??? :D

What does everyone make of this.

SHOPMIUM. I was checking today and noticed that my bank details on the app were still from a tsb account I closed 4 to 6 months ago . Apparently the payments were going there and not bouncing back which they should have done.

Called in the tsb in Chester as that was where I was today and the chap took my name etc and nothing came up on his system because the accounts were closed.

Ok it was my fault for not thinking to do it at the time but still I shouldn t lose my money because of it. Shopmium are trying to sort it for me but what a palaver. How can money go to an account that isn t an account anymore, Baffled.

OK....So I went for a little shopping trip...was intending to base a shop around A but as venus had departed I left empty handed.

Me and my gift card ended up in T where I must have discovered the only pack of meal deal cheese still on the shelf in the country....so a swift few more items were added to create a plausible shop and through the self scan I went.

then a trip to CS where" it was clearly the wine making it not work" and then a moment where DTD looked on dodgy ground because I had used self scan...cue the other CS assistant then confirming it was fine....and out I came with £17.20 refunded.

    Thanks Silvercar!

Surely that's wrong? Surely it's the wine making it work rather than not work?:rotfl:

I guess what's in our interests and theirs are diametrically opposed.
    Well done on the DTD:).

I've noticed 73 3 for £10 eggs on A, but I only see 68 on MSM.....does this warrant more investigating or do others see more on MSM please?

Sorry if it's been discussed, I am waaay out of touch

I don't think the difference between the two helps now that A use a.com rather than msm. Those 73 should all appear on the APG now but are any showing as Unavailable on a.com? Otherwise I think we need to find some beyond what is on a.com in the offer - we'd need to have one instore that isn't one of the 73.

I actually don't think this works does it? With A at individual price £4 (it really should be much higher), an invisible trigger would see two others get £4 vs £2 T assuming both compare (I notice the T offer is now on). Therefore the difference between £4 and £1.80 multiplied by 2. That is £4.40. Paying £10 originally makes it £5.60 for three. Divide that by three and it's nearly £1.87 per egg:eek:. You may as well just get one and have it for 10% cheaper than £2 = £1.80 (assuming it compares and picks up the T offer price and assuming your shop overall compares best against T). An invisible trigger currently actually makes the eggs more expensive than a straight comp. on one or two, if I have done my sums correctly (and someone can check). Ideally we'd want three to appear at full price - that may happen towards the end if they go unavailable on a.com but temporarily still appear on the comp., but that would need the offer at the competitor to be still on.

Otherwise, for the sake of 20p - and it would probably cost me more than 20p more to travel to A rather than T - I might as well just buy one from T at £2 without the need to buy seven other items.

The problem with an invisible trigger (obviously a "problem" from our POV) - unfortunately none of the £4.50 or £5 individual price eggs are on offer anywhere - is due to A offering so little discount on it's £4 individual prices for buying 3. It's offering less than 67p for an egg for buying 3 together, and the loss of one £4 vs £2 comp. due to a triggering item (if we could find one) not appearing on the comp. - and a trigger may not be on offer in T at £2 anyway - loses more than the mbuy discount originally given.

Did you close the account or did you do a switch to another bank?

annoyed with myself for not checking shopimum before we went out - but I am sure I checked it early this morning and saw nothing new

2 Free bottles of ginger beer - diet and full fat - I was in Morribobs this afternoon and bought the own brand ginger beer

OH well .... - I've got to do 16 swipes on both of the nectar cards so at least that's 2 swipes ...
