Happy belated birthdays to everyone
I am trying to catch up:rotfl::rotfl:0 -
Had a good week of using up toiletries - 4 full sized products out :j and I didn't cheat, as ever, due to me being [STRIKE]tight[/STRIKE] thrifty, bottles were drained completely and tubes cut open to use up the last dregs!
I am more impressed with myself for not having bought anything else. I have bought sharpies, but haven't included these although I have re-homed the 6 I got with the security tags still on them - I got back what they cost me so no loss there.
I'm going to try to use up a couple more open bottles that I don't really like and then treat myself by getting out one of the many 'good' sets that have been in the cupboard for a while. Not sure what I was saving them for.0 -

Good afternoon.
I asked questions about airport lounge pass a couple of days ago. I just wanted to say thanks to all who replied. :A
I applied for The Preferred Rewards Gold Card today. I need to buy flight tickets this week so I'm hoping the card arrives by Friday. If I can use the card to buy tickets then £2k spend is mostly achieved...
I ended up reading up about the Platinum Card and really fancied having one:o but couldn't justify the £450 :eek:anual fee for myself, as I'm not a frequent traveller. I wondered if any elite have one?
Anyway, off to slave in the kitchen. Have a nice evening.:)
The ones playing the game get a proportional refund when they have spent enough to get whatever deal is on offer.
OH has the BAEC Amex, cheap at half the price! Not. But we do use the vouchers it generates every year.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. So Errant son says Hi, he has something to tell me ...
It turns out that his employers have terminated his contract - he had 6 months on probation but there was some sort of problem in December so it was extended.
I only know this because they sent him a letter but it came to this address as he never bothered updating HR
It just gets worse and worse
so now he is homeless and job less ...
so basically 3 years of college and 2 years of uni to get into his dream career all for nothing, this is the 2nd time he has done this so he wont get employment in this industry ever again ...
He was ringing his big sister on Saturday and they (eldest child and her BF) are helping him with an appeal - BF spent all Sunday afternoon composing an appeal letter for him ...
2 weeks away from wedding day, they really don't need this hassle
Oh dear! Sorry to hear this. I would call spending time at uni as a waste. He will always have the qualification and may have matured in the time. Is there really no opportunity to do the same elsewhere.
So difficult advising these "emerging adults" who think they know best. DS2 has just signed for a rental with the GF, when he is still on probation!I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
