I think that is a really good idea, there was something in the press that said that in the Uk we need to take Vitamin D from October onwards because of our lack of sun. You need to have 20 mins skin exposure each day without any sun block on - hypothermia would set in after 10 mins in our winters :rotfl:

And we have been home from holds now for a month so any vitamin D we accumulated in January now has long since dwindled away ...

There was a programme on recently think it was called tonight and they tested people who took vitamins and the only one that really showed a difference was the vit d.Makes you think doesn it .

If anyone is still having a big think, it is too late :(.
Leeds Building society withdraw their regular saver issue 4 on February 10th and have no plans as yet to replace it.
It was only by forcing myself to read their mailing buff word for word that I realised there was even such a thing as a regular saver 4 so I opened mine in late January.
The old regular saver 3 closed to new deposits at the end of January so if you didn't get around to opening the newer version its too late now. Its still paying 2.3% until October so at least that's something.

Things seem to move so fast now its very hard to keep up. If you have old savings bonds, regular savers or ISAs coming to the end of their life later in the year it seems too soon to even be thinking about happens next and its natural to assume you can just open replacements but that's not always the case.

The few savings accounts with good enough interest rates just close down with no announcements, a very annoying habit ...

Also for anyone still going through their accounts and making sure everything is in order - so far I've found 2 standing orders that needed the dates altering ..

If you are in need of a regular saver to put away up to £250 per month then Leeds have a Regular saver issue 4 paying 2.30% gross including the annual bonus.
So over a year if you put in the full £250 per month your annual interest would be a pitiful £37.48 :(
But if you think of it as having £3037.48 at the end of December 2018 to cover the Christmas credit card bills, pay off the holiday balance, add to the ISA fund ...

They also have a selection of old fashioned bonds including a 15 month one paying 1.30% gross - that would take you up to March 2018 which might be of use for ISA forward planning or if you have ISAs/bonds etc maturing etc

and good enough ISA rates for 1 and 2 year accounts

I did but I think I'll give them until the end of the week before I chase them up

They gave the mrs and me another 452 points each yesterday for their recent facebook comp so I'm cutting them some slack these days.

This is interesting, I never really look at my coins, I don't really like handling them

Does anyone know if there is a guide with pictures?

Just been looking at my coins, some quite an age

I thought I had the Menai bridge but as its 2004 it must be the Forth
I also have one with 2001 celtic cross
