He's done so well rose:T It must be very hard to break the habit when it's so engrained in our culture. Out for meals, going to the cinema, invited to friends etc. It's everywhere:o

Talking to DS the other day and this cropped up. He commented how it's such a big part of uni life now....from freshers week onwards....through to working life where it's more common to go straight to the pub after work than straight home:o

The university culture with drinking was always a worry for me. DD swore he would never drink due to his Dads situation but Uni put paid to that. I worried for quite a few years when he went on the occasional bender but now he is married and a Dad he still drinks but quite a few days a week none at all. Same goes for my DD she rarely drinks last time was at. her wedding 18th months ago. I myself maybe have one drink a year. I have a bottle of Gin in the cupboard from year before last.
At the beginning it was hard for him at family occasions but he is past that now and really enjoyed being nearly the only sober person at both of his children's weddings.

Xmas and other times dont bother him anymore as he knows there is no way he could go back there.

We had a bad incident in my town this week. A young man with mental health problems ( 2 days out of hospital ) stabbed his mum 15 times in the road near my house and it was only the fact a lad who was at school with my son drove past and tackled him that she is alive. He also kicked her in the head and banged her head on the road. Apparently the family had asked for help that day. She is a lovely lady who i know by sight but I didnt know the lad. She is seriously ill in hospital.

Thanks bubbs and gocat - I did look at the other forum but couldn't make head nor tail of it ! Problem is I don't know anything about pips, esa etc and don't know how his benefits are made up. I knew that some benefits were means tested (as they should be) but we hoped that the compensation could be used to ease the ongoing situation just a bit. If all their benefits are stopped and they are expected to live on the lump sum then it won't last very long.

Things are tight for them - even though both ds and dil are both disabled and can only walk short distances(with sticks) they have just had dil's motobility car withdrawn following reassessment even though her health issues are worse than when she was awarded the car 3 years ago !

I have told him to discuss it in detail with his solicitor . You never stop worrying about your kids do you .

Its also worth writing a letter with the details and sending it to your local MP - there have been a couple of local cases recently where our MPS got involved.
One local girl was threaten with her car being removed, the date was even set even though it meant she could no longer go to 6th form, unable to do her exams and she would be house bound with no career and no future with a life on benefits.
In the end a local car company gave her a leased car indefinatly after the MP, local FB groups and press got involved.

Cherish those you have in your life because you never know when they won't be there anymore.

    evening all

Any suggestions from the ebay sellers please :)
I started my listings on the app on the ipad including the photos and then saved. Then later I went online to tidy the listings up before uploading, I get as far as doing the postage but when I put international postage then I get an error message. So again I saved and went back to the app to finish revisions but although it will let me specify the EU and European countries it wont save
what am I doing wrong? Last week I did 3 items, mainly on the app and finishing off on the main computer with no problems regarding international postage.
Juggling between the app and main computer is annoying.

If I save as a template would that help I wonder.

They have temps of 40 degrees in Oz so they need summer frocks!

Ive listed as best as I could, have to do revisions tomorrow - tickly cough seems to be aggravated by red wine :(

Sorry cant help only sell in UK, why are you flitting from app to desk top? surely thats making life difficult, cant you do it all on one?
I always sell as similar and then change category if needed and jst change the actual item description
