All going well, yes. At some point next week need to hand dissertation in, get hair cut, pack for NZ and pack my possessions into boxes ready for the move. Good job I don't have a lot of possessions....

Think mhoc would be having kittens if she were in my shoes :rotfl::rotfl:

Not kittens, entire herds of cats :rotfl:

No ammount of To Do lists are going to organise this. I would be putting myself on a MSE ban, logging out and staying logged out until every last thing is done ...:D

Yes we have come a long way and I am looking forward to being able to maybe drop a few hours a week at work as my finances will be better with all the household bills now shared between us. And no I am going to leave all the booze thats in my stash where it is. He comes to the house most days anyway and could take any he wanted at any time. He knows his life is much better without drink.

Hope everything works out and very well done him:T:T:T:T

    Morning,

Dropped my DD and family off at Harry potter studios on Friday with us having 3 or so hours to kill headed into Watford...all I can say is WOW!
What a size Adsa is we only popped in for the free drink on cos...and how clean everywhere is!!
We got in the car to depart and saw a car driving round and round the car park (upper level) thought they were crazy....then he started following us as we went round the car park once, the car park was empty just a HUGE empty space...
    Finally we found it.......
    ................the exit !!

Those last words are what you needed to hear :T:T

My DDs best friend's mother had breast cancer, but was cured as much as can be. She always was a drinker, but after her cancer she got the idea she was a victim rather than a survivor, she became an alcoholic and drank herself to death :( She died in hospital on election day 2015 just weeks before her granddaughter was born :(

So I am delighted when an alcoholic actually manages to beat the demon, and if he hasn't had a drink for 9 years he has come as close to curing himself as anyone will :T:T
What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare

You must be so proud of him rose :D

Yes I am but there is always a little sadness at all the years and money we lost to alcohol. He has al but repaired his relationship with his dd but not quite with his ds. He is always telling me ds never calls him when he talks to me 3 or 4 times a week. I told him its because I was always there for them when he was missing.
