My dad died at 34. I was 8 and my sister 5. We waved him off to work and that was the last we saw of him. He had a thrombosis and when it reached his heart he collapsed and died0

Please can I ask if anyone remembers what happened to the Huggies reward programme or is it still going?
I seem to remember something vaguely, about people being able to dig out their old receipts going back months and uploading them and still being accepted.
And people finding Huggies on wombles on a regular basis.
Perhaps it wasn't even Huggies or did I just imagine it all ...
I had a womble today with 2 Huggies on, dry nites
and another which I had to double check with the magnifying glass but the date on it is 02/12/2015

its so hard when parents go so suddenly ...“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
It's so unpredicable mhoc...death...
Neither of my parents were critically ill, infact for both separately we have pictures taken of them enjoying life the day before they each died...looking at those pictures it's hard to believe that in both cases within 12 hours of them being taken they were gone.
both very peacefully in sleep...a nice way to go but there's no goodbye.
my mum went like that, in her sleep.
My Dad had always been in her shadow and it was only really afterwards that we really got to know him, the difference was gob snacking, some people had never known him to speak evenWe had endless very deep conversations and he was still very sharp up until that final 3 weeks.
Even in the worst of situations there is some sort of silver lining, in that we got to know dad
I often think if it had been the other way round, mum on her own it would have been hell on earth, she would have fought us every step of the way over every last thing, making everything as difficult as possible for herself and us ...“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. I count myself lucky that my Mam and Dad both lived to a grand old age. Dad was 85 when he died and Mam 93. Still heartbreaking but expected. I don't know how I would have reacted if they'd died younger. Alan was only 62 which, in these days, is still young. You just expect to grow old together

Anyway we have had a really nice morning.
Eldest son arrived yesterday afternoon, a planned visit this timeHe took my parcel to the post office for me without any fuss.
OH managed to get back from work after all so he was in charge of the roast pork. Then eldest son went out with a few mates and had a nice drink in a local speciality beer pub.
Then this morning he had a lie in, got up to porridge and I made cheese and pickle sandwiches and various lunch items (mainly cashback items) and they all went off for an afternoons mountain biking on Cannock Chase.
Nice and normal and calm, exactly as we like it and its days like this you have to cherish.“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
