True fame - achieving 37th prize in the Christmas Fair draw :D

Considering I donated half the prizes and bought half the tickets, it's turned out to be a very expensive bottle:rotfl:

Martin talked about it on breakfast tv on Thursday saying you could get 3% on 2 accounts each with 3k in.
Mum explained this to me on Friday, as a viewer of daytime tv.
I've been telling her about it for over 6 months, not sure she listens to me.....

I know, many of us will have explained deals and had no response. :money: mentions it and suddenly they are interested .... but likely still take no action :D.

So the snow stopped and now we have rain  I've got an early start tomorrow morning so hope it doesn't freeze tonight. I won't hold my breath

It seems that we need to look for new savings account or bank account, so I've been following keenly the chat from Anon and mhoc. At the moment we've both got Santander 123 accounts maxed but wondering about spreading the money around. Oh, we've got TSB accounts too.

OK, as per usual, off to catch-up , not too far behind :D

I personally would ditch the santander accounts and go for the following:-
    3 BOS £5k each 3%
    Nationwide £2.5k 5%
    Tesco £3k 3%

Then open first direct and m&s for incentives switching from santander for their reg savers paying 5% and start drip feeding.

Just done my annual switch for gas and elec through TCB using simply switch for £39 cashback. Apparently I will be saving £99 as well. It is now so much easier to switch using these sites than it used to be especially as I am on economy seven which I love. It's an elite's dream of trying get as much out of the system as possible!

Well done on the pictures Scamp. I now need to find my sainsbury's receipt where I bought one banana so I could use a £2.50 to pay for my milk as I really do not need anything in double up. I also have some receipts with optiwell on thanks to TM from last week.

Forgot to say altojack please do not be put off any bank accounts that need direct debit mr. tes can be your friend for that. I can explain if you need me to!

Evening all hope everyone is well.

Proud of my 17 year old son. Never having cooked a meal before he offered to do dinner tonight for 12  as I was working and still poorly. He made meatballs and pasta in tomato and basil sauce with mozzarella and cheddar tortilla topping. Everyone had empty plates and some had seconds. He did it all from scratch even made Hus own garlic bread . I was just going to do shepherds pie with the mince. :rotfl:

Rubbish photo but wanted to share. X
