Good morning all.
This what a lovely daughter you have such a nice thing to do.
Saversue sorry to hear things not better.
Have a good day, just wish weather would brighten up, it's dark and miserable here xx0 -
Morning all
Siri says its vile outside but I have to drag myself out of bed, a parcel is en route and the postie was here before 9 yesterday
a first time for everything
Day 3 of the dreaded lurgy OH has kindly given me. I don't get colds as such just very bad throats. I expect the voice to go altogether today so you might want to turn the volume up to max and put your ear against the screen so you will hear me better :rotfl:
OH found me 3 very ancient lemsip sachets last night with the powders in a solid lump - this is the problem with having so few colds so far apart, years apart, science and medicine have moved on since I last had lurgy.
I also have toxic throat tablets that take layers of skin off your tongue and leave you with no sense of taste for days
I don't even have the benefit of a cat in the bed so they must either be out or OH has lit the fire :T
Oh no. You sound very poorly...0 -
How kind of you. spent some time last night looking for support helplines, but bottled out of ringing.
Just finding it difficult to care for Mum full-time, with no-one to help and my own problems as well. Have been trying to sort out her finances and having problems, even though I am registered as her Enduring Power of Attorney. Every time I try to explain to her what is going on, she gets terribly distressed and has started shouting at me that it's too much for her.Enterprise_1701C wrote: »It is very hard for you and for her SS, but I am going to be heartless here. Does she really need to know what is going on? So long as everything is running OK and she has what she needs then surely it can just carry on? Don't forget we are here for a rant xx
We've just stopped telling Mum how much things cost (new glasses, mended denture) and just pay it from her account. Online banking makes it all so easy.0 -

No, I deny everything, apart from a dripping nose and rough throat I am in robust health - or at least that is what I am telling myself, mind over matter.
OH is our resident hypochondriac who incidentally also has real health issues“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Hope braveheart and other 02 priority peeps know about this.

Thankfully I got my free cafe nero hot choc today as went in earlier. :coffee:
Thanks, TS. I didn't know about the meal deal offer and can't find anything about it online.
Mind you, since I usually pay for my meal deals with points and since I have a lot of points at the moment, I suspect this is not relevant to me!!0 -
Does everyone know that Buyagift has a 25% code today - check your emails.
I don't know how it affects Quidco - sometimes the offers run together
Not that it helps my present buying issues ...“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
